This was the perfect little getaway for our anniversary weekend!! We absolutely loved the cabin! It had such a cozy, rustic feel to it, and being surrounded by the woods and river made it even better. It was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we were looking for! The cabin had everything we needed, and we loved how easy and relaxing the whole experience was. Our hosts were wonderful, super easy to communicate with, and always quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again!!

Stayed at the cabin as part of our honeymoon. From the history of the property to the soothing sound of the river, our stay was truly relaxing. The cabin is charming… with wood floors, ceiling, and walls, and big old stone fireplace, and big window to look at the scenery. We highly recommend this cabin and are definitely coming back for other adventures there!!

Idyllic, quiet spot in woods looking over the fast-moving creek. The cabin itself is rustic and simple, but clean with a lovely clawfoot bathtub/shower. We spent most of our time in the gorgeous outdoors, though, enjoying the woods, river, falls, birds, wild flowers, and lovely quiet, far from busy roads. Added bonus is the fascinating history of the place.

I can't say enough about the view. Amazing to have the river right outside the door. Great historical location and not far from Jim Thorpe. Cabin was very cozy and kitchen had a good size mini fridge. The fire ring provided was top notch.Now based on the type of visit I was expecting, some things to note. There is no A/C (I know it's listed in the details). This was not an issue for us as we lucked out with mild weather and it got cold at night. The wi-fi barely works and we experienced little to no cell service (T-Mobile/Verizon). Highly recommend arriving during day light, property was dark, has 5 other dwellings on it, and the cabin doesn't have an address that comes up on maps. During the day you can find it easily. We had to call the owner and he was very helpful.

A lovely experience overall. Initially, my communication with Expedia/Vrbo was frustrating. But the host, Lacy, was so very accommodating with providing me with information. I brought my 2 small dogs with me and even they had a wonderful time. Weather was ideal. Just a wonderful cabin, and the serenity I felt was amazing. I'll be returning.

Fantastic location, with the river right outside the door! Very relaxing and cozy, a good place to unplug! I did have to learn how to properly use a fireplace without smoking the place out! Very close to hiking and skiing if that's your thing.
