I stayed there for 2 weeks, a few days before check out I requested to extend for 2 more weeks. The schedule was open but they didn’t respond until someone booked a 1 day stay a day before my check out date and then said it’s no longer available the night before check out. I didn’t see the message so the cleaners came and threw all my stuff in a bag and put in the gym. They didn’t get my laptop or books out of the unit so they clearly didn’t clean that well or else it would have been in the bag with everything else. I’ve never received a bad review but they claim I left the property a mess and checked out late. Not exactly what happened but I guess that’s true because they didn’t respond until 7pm the night before check out.

Response from VrboOwner on 15 Jun, 2026
The guest initially requested an extension, but the request was unclear, so we reached out right away for clarification. Unfortunately, we did not receive any response. On the day of check-out, we were informed by our cleaning team that the guest was still in the unit, and the space was left in a very messy condition. It appeared that they had not checked out as scheduled. We contacted the guest, and they then requested a last-minute extension. However, the dates were already booked and we had incoming guests arriving later that day, so we were unable to accommodate the request. The late check-out and condition of the unit caused a delay for our cleaning team and affected the next guest’s check-in schedule. Regarding the laptop mentioned in the message thread, it was found slightly hidden, but everything else was already packed in the bag. The guest was able to retrieve the laptop.
