About the host
Hosted by John P. Allen

I bought this cabin in 2000. There was still an outhouse on the property. I have made a few improvements including the fireplace and new appliances. I have been commuting 100 miles to work for years. Finally got a closer place to work. This has become a very nice relaxing place for me to get away from the city. I hope I can share it with other people who enjoy the cabin life.
Why they chose this property
I am originally from Minnesota. I grew up camping and enjoying the Boundary waters canoe area. The lake cavanough area reminds me of home. I fell in love with it the first time I drove up here. I hope you do to.
What makes this property unique
This is a very cool place to hang out. It is so quiet at night. You can really hear the sounds of nature. The trees keep the air clean and the temperature is a little bit cooler up in the foothills of the cascade mountain range. If you are lucky, you will hear the owls hoo hoo at night. Local legends says that is good luck and a blessing.
