Amazing Home and Location

We absolutely loved our stay at this Sunset Cliffs gem! The location was perfect – just a few blocks from the cliffs and offering spectacular ocean views. The house had everything we needed and more, with a super cool mid-century ranch style that felt both updated and full of vintage character. The outdoor spaces were a highlight: a cozy, garden-like yard and a fabulous rooftop deck. Sea World happened to be doing nightly fireworks while we were there, which was a wonderful bonus! One magical evening, we spotted two great horned owls right in the yard and heard all sorts of wild calls – pretty sure some owl romance was happening!Inside, the home has an amazing “wandering” feel, with rooms flowing into each other and multiple vantage points for enjoying the scenery. We especially loved the large glass corner windows in both the living room and the master suite – the views were incredible. Everything was exactly as described, spotless, and well-maintained. This is a five-star stay all around, and we’d come back in a heartbeat!

The area centers around Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, where people gather daily to walk along rugged trails, surf below the cliffs, or simply watch the sun dip into the Pacific. The neighborhood itself is quiet and mostly residential, featuring a mix of charming beach cottages and high-end oceanfront homes, many designed to maximize panoramic views. While there aren’t many shops or restaurants directly within Sunset Cliffs, it’s just minutes from Ocean Beach and Point Loma dining spots. Overall, it offers a unique blend of natural beauty, privacy, and laid-back coastal living, making it one of the most desirable and visually iconic areas in San Diego.
