Great beach house. Location is ideal. We have stayed at probably 9 or 10 properties in S. Mission Beach over the years and this was one of our favorites, definitely our favorite front patio. We look forward to returning next year.

It’s was a perfect location. The dryer didn’t dry the clothes - and and we had to take our laundry to a laundry mat to wash and dry clothes. We contacted the property owner and let them know, but never heard back from them. So the inconvenience was having to take our wet clothes to the laundromat and then having to wash and dry at the laundromat but not big of a deal - other than that. Location is great you get beautiful sun from the front porch. Beach is right there

Cozy, quaint, and a great location!

Our family of 5 (adults) really enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is sparsely furnished, but there are plenty of restaurant options within walking distance. We loved being close to the ocean, but just far enough away to avoid all the foot traffic. Hope to come back again!enjoyquiefronyard

Location and exactly as described

This family of 5 stayed here for a week and enjoyed it. It's 5 houses off of the beach. The key selling points here are: location, the patio, and 3 beds.The property is small, but exactly as described. There's no indoor kitchen table, but we ate every meal on the outdoor table. The fireplace is a nice touch at night time too.We parked full size SUV (think Tahoe) in the parking spot. Very tight squeeze, but it fit. And you don't do much walking while you're here anyways.While not the "nicest" property in the area, it's a great value and has key selling points.

The house was beautiful and very close to the beach. Only about a block or two away. We loved hanging out on the patio for breakfast and at night making s’mores. We had some trouble getting into the laundry room area at first and the water heater shut off a couple of times, making for cold showers with our small kids after the beach which was no fun. The third room is a closet which I hadn’t realized but luckily our three kids fit together in the master bedroom so we didn’t have to use it. Great location, beautiful home. My kids said it was an 8 out of 10 because they didn’t like taking cold showers.

HI Marissa, Thank you for the review and I think you description of your stay was more like a 4 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately the water heater had an issue unbeknownst to us. I cam over the morning you made me aware of it an had it working perfectly within 5 minutes. I wish these things did not happen but it is a house and from time to time things come up. I am glad it was an easy fix and strongly believe your kids are right 8 out of 10 because of a cold shower :)

It was closer to mission beach than advertised and that was good, the parking was terrible.

The biggest problem is the parking. Only one space and it was so tight that even though we drove a small sports carWe could barely open the doors enough to get out of the vehicle. If we had even a midsize car we could not have used it at all. The other couple with us had to park their car a quarter mile away. The place will sleep six but the seating in the living room was limited to a couch that could seat three and a padded bench with no back support that was only suitable for brief rest stops.

We stayed a week in this house and overall our experience was enjoyable. We loved the location to the beach and how quiet the immediate surrounding area was! We enjoyed sitting out in the front each night in front of the fire pit. We loved BBQ'ing and eating on the large table. Some things to be aware of...the parking space is quite small. We were able to fit our Honda Pilot but anything larger than that, you'll be in trouble (i.e. like an Excursion or large truck). The kitchen was stocked with most kitchenware except mixing bowls or tupperware. Not very many towels or face cloths. The microwave did not work and the dryer did not work very well. The 3rd room in the hall is a room with a large bed in it. You can access the closet but the entire room is the bed. I think this room needs either bunk beds or some kind of trundle bed to give it more space. The master bedroom was great. Like said, we had an enjoyable time for the most part!

Small house but great location. Parking is tight but that's everywhere in this area. It sleeps six but six people can not sit inside unless they bring in chairs from outside. Front door keypad did not work, dryer did not work, and microwave did not work, handle on master bedroom closet was broken so couldn't use it. The host never responded when I reported the dryer was not working and didn't offer to repair anything. Bbq was filthy. Cleaners forgot to clean it. There was also no propane for the bbq. The host told us to go refill the tanks and he'd repay us. We had just arrived and asked for him to bring us propane. We're there to relax and enjoy the beach not fill propane tanks. Someone brought propane and cleaned the bbq 2 days after we checked in. We'd already been to the store and bought food that didn't need a bbq. The good thing is It's close to the beach and you can walk to restaurants and Belmont Park.

Sounds like you enjoyed the home. The BBQ and gas tanks was a one off situation and I did offer to repay you for refilling the tank as the store is about 50 yards away from the house. You did not want to do this and I let you know it would take a couple of days to get new tank delivered. You made the choice to wait. Microwave has been replaced, dryer works perfectly. Nice place, seems like it has recently been remodeled. My only complaints would be that there is no dining table on the inside, and the parking spot is a joke for anybody with anything bigger than a geo metro. We have a Ford Explorer and it was almost impossible to use the spot. Very very tight. Other than that the place was great and only steps away from the beach and a short walk to Belmont park so that was nice.
