Our entire family had a great time! We had 12 people and the family area was large enough we didn’t feel crowded when we were all together and plenty of rooms to spread out when we needed our space. We can’t wait to come back!
Plenty of room and privacy for everyone. Enjoyed the property and pool although the pool was cold because it was still in May. Had fun playing pool and foosball.
We spent our annual family vacation at this wonderful house! It is by far the best place we have found to stay at Lake Hartwell. It absolutely had something for everyone. Although the weather was bad the entire week and we were unable to use the pool and the lake as we had planned, we all still found something to do and had a wonderful vacation. It is by far stocked the best of any place we have ever stayed having plenty of paper, products, dishes, linens, pots, etc. The hosts are exceptionally nice and very responsive. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful house for any family. We definitely plan to go again!
The house was large and open! Perfect 10 for families and gatherings! The basement or game room was fabulous for the young adults who enjoyed the big tv and pool table. The large dining table and open concept made for a great place to eat and chat with family. Pool, jacuzzi and boat dock was an added bonus. The only negative was the outside grounds were not kept up and we swept and cleaned up patio and upper deck areas as they were filled with leaves and sticks from the storms that roll in. Overall the owner was great at responding and giving information and a pleasure to deal with . She provided all the info I needed to plan a great trip. Definitely a great house and location for some family time at the lake!!
We had a wonderful stay at this house for Clemson graduation! The property was perfect for our multi generation group, with plenty of space for everyone. For our group, the pool table was definitely the highlight. Everyone from our 21 yr old graduate to our 87 yr old patriarch enjoyed spirited and sometimes competitive games. The house was well-stocked with every kitchen item and appliance that we needed. The extra large dining table accommodated all of us, and even a few extra friends, for a graduation dinner. The house was also extremely well stocked with towels for indoor and outdoor use, as well as extra pillows, sheets, and other linens. There is also plenty of parking, and the circular driveway allowed the senior members of our group to be dropped off at the front door. We enjoyed the lake views from the house and from the dock, and those who tried out the pool enjoyed the slightly chilly water. We did not use any of the lake toys, but there were plenty of them in the garage ready to go if we wanted. We ran out of time, unfortunately, and did not get to try the hot tub either, but it was clean and ready for our use had we been able to enjoy it.Check-in was very easy, although it took us a while to find the Wi-Fi password. Check-out instructions were similar to must properties and were not burdensome.I would recommend this house to anyone coming to the area!
Wonderful place, the pool and lake view was amazing. Only disappointed in the playground was no longer there. But would rent all over again!! Super nice host.
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house for our son’s graduation week! The house was open and spacious with plenty of room for our family and something for everyone to enjoy. The downstairs pool table was a big hit along with the pool and hot tub! Lisa was great to work with and was very responsive.
We loved it and are very grateful for the memories made here!
Beautiful property, easy to communicate with owners.
We all loved this property so much that we are thinking about returning next year. Had a great time from the moment we arrived to the second we left. Felt like home.
Thanks Lisa for being such a gracious host.

Will definitely stay here again for future visits to Clemson! The house was so spacious and open! Loved all the windows flooding the area with natural light!
Kitchen had everything we needed!
I gave it a 4 Star rating only because of the hot tub could have used a good cleaning but everything else throughout the house was perfect.
Thank you for sharing your home!!!
We had an amazing week! Our men had a great time fishing and the dock for our boats were perfect. Us ladies lounged by and in the pool & we also enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on the lake. Very spacious, made wonderful memories, & really enjoyed the screened porch that fit all 12 of us! It was also nice to have a dinner table that accommodated everyone for meals. Lisa was great about answering any and all questions. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!
Peaceful Lake Retreat with Stunning Views and Ample Space
We recently stayed at this beautiful lake home from October 24-28, traveling from California for the Clemson Ring Ceremony with 11 adults and 2 children. The home was incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone. The view of the lake was stunning, especially from the living room and the screened porch, where we loved enjoying our coffee each morning.
The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bonus room downstairs was a hit for movie nights and foosball games. The large 12-seat dining table was perfect for our group meals, and the ample parking made it convenient for everyone.
The backyard was a peaceful oasis, with a swing to relax and watch the fall leaves, two comfortable hammocks, and a well-maintained path leading to the dock. We enjoyed fishing there, and though we didn’t get to use the fire pit, we appreciated having it available. All the bedrooms were spacious, and the beds and showers were very comfortable. We felt immersed in nature, surrounded by trees and the calming sounds of wildlife.
A small suggestion would be to update the listing by removing the playground and perhaps adding some table games to enhance the indoor experience.
Overall, this home exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning for a longer stay to fully enjoy its charm and the serene location.
The Aceves Family
We have been renting a house for 15 years for an annual family vacation. Parents, grandparents, sisters, nieces, nephews, and great niece/nephew all spend one week a year together. Each year we keep hoping to find the one house we want to revisit year after year and I think we did this year. The house is the most spacious house we have stayed in. The bedrooms are all nicely sized and well decorated. The furniture is a lot of retro furniture and we loved it. The kitchen is nicely sized and having two refrigerators with easy access was a blessing. The pool and spa were used a lot on the few days that we didnt have rain. Even though, except for 2 days, it rained the entire week there was enough space to spread out. The screen in porch was awesome and helped keep the bugs at bay. We have already booked for next year and will be booking again year after year! The group overwhelmingly agreed the small i wish it had list was far outweighed by all the wow look they even have this. The quantity of towels, laundry baskets to use, basic supplies and etc is like we have never experienced. The owner was very responsive to all my questions!

Check-in process was cumbersome. Did not receive info thru VRBO, but thru email with the host that required we sign in with an Apple ID (we have android). After a few phone calls with the host, a screenshot of the instructions was received. The outside needed some tlc. Leaves were built up on the balcony, a piece of siding was hanging down and the gas grill was filthy, and the spare gas tank was empty. It was later filled by the cleaning lady. We were told not to use the hotub until it was drained and cleaned, two days later a maintenance man came, added a cupful of chemicals to adjust the ph level, and that was it. The microwave did not work properly but was replaced the next day. The pool table was a huge disappointment. One of the rails were broken and therefore, any shot that hit that rail would not react as it should, making the game of finesse and precision into a slopshoot. The Pots and Pans need a significant upgrade as well as the outdoor seats, which were sagging and lacked much support or comfort. 1 bedroom with 4 twin beds only had 2 twins and 2 fold up cushions.
The location and size of the home were great. The bedrooms were all in good condition and the living areas were spacious and comfortable. The boat dock had been recently moved out further due to low water levels, which was very much appreciated to make berthing our boat easier than what it would have been. We also appreciated the circular driveway with its ample parking ability.
Great location, wonderful amenities, large house, plenty of space for 10 adults. Pool guys came twice a week, pool was clean, interior of house had a good cleaning before we arrived. Comfortable beds, plenty of amenities not listed, good kitchen supplies.
On the negative, if you want to use the outdoor furniture, plan to clean them yourself. They are not maintained or cleaned - on the screened patio or around the pool. I spent a day cleaning the outdoor tables, chairs, locating some cushions for some of the chairs and cleaning them. One of the sliding doors to the pool area does not have an exterior handle, which made it impossible to open. We had to purchase several DampRid containers for the musty smell in the lower level of the house (pool table room and 2 bedrooms). This helped, but I don't feel it's my responsibility to have to purchase these. The garage smelled for our entire stay, very musty.
The pictures need to be updated on the listing, one HUGE discrepancy is for 4 twin beds; there is a bedroom with 4 beds but note, 2 of the twin beds are just fold out cushions (tri-fold flip out loungers). And there is no playground for younger kids.
I texted the owner regarding hot tub sediment and she was prompt in sending the pool guy to clean it out, but I never knew which day he was arriving, it was always a surprise when he came.
The owner did not reply via vrbo regarding questions I had prior to arrival or send any check out procedures, information was conflicting.

2022 Family Vacay
We just checked out today 6/25/22. This was our yearly extended family vacay. The size of the house and layout was great! It was a great location right on a lake with a pool and dock that we were able to easily dock our boat at. There was a large circle drive with additional parking infront if the garage. The house was well equipped in the kitchen and with linens. **The not great part of our stay was the house is older and in need of some upkeep and repairs. The owner let me know the pest control man would be there monday morning our 2nd full day there, little did we know the roach problem that the house had. It was great he was there treating however it was not a quick fix and we had to keep all of our food off the kitchen counters and continued to kill roaches in the kitchen all week. It was a very hot week with temperatures between 90-100, the 2 air-conditioning units could not keep up. The house was very hot during the day between 80-85 and would cool down to mid 70s overnight from the start of our trip. On thursday the house was again very hot and not cooling down, the inside units were running but the outside units were not. We realized this in the evening and unfortunately had a miserable night sleeping with no air. I texted the owner and she was able to arrange a repair man to come out midday the following day. The lower level unit could not be repaired the upper level unit was repaired but it was too hot in the house for it to be cooled down, so we had another sleeping with temperatures in the house of 84. The house did not cool down till Saturday morning the day we checked out. The ceiling fan in the livingroom is broke, we found 1 box fan in the garage to use but had to buy others. I was disappointed with the response from the owner, I finally got an apology when she told us the lower level could not be repaired and the people sleeping in the downstairs bedrooms had no chance of it even cooling down over night. We were not offered any of our money back either. So while the property has great potential and wonderful location it needs to be maintained better and maybe some better customer service.
