All of our vacation rentals include a basic “start-up supply” of: laundry detergent, garbage bags, kitchen sponge, liquid soap, dishwasher liquid, paper towels, toilet paper, conditioning shampoo, small bar soap, all-purpose cleaner and salt/pepper. Cooking oils, condiments, spices, food storage bags, plastic wrap and aluminum foil are not provided. Once the startup supply runs out, guests can restock at nearby grocery stores.

We were provided with perfect instructions for accessing the building and were given clear expectations for our stay. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short stay. The lanai was wonderful. Great location and the designated parking is a plus! We hope to visit again

This place is 5-star all around. Much better than any close-by hotel. We could not have asked for a better location and view with a clean, comfortable and well-appointed apartment. This place was perfect for our stay in Kona.

Ali'i Drive is the place to be when staying in Kona!! Perfect location if you want to be in the middle of Kailua-Kona. Walking distance to tons of shops and eateries Farmer's Market. Gorgeous view-saw turtles everyday and tons of Yellow Tang. Had everything we needed-Murphy Bed was comfortable for my 6ft tall teen and couch was perfect for my other teen. Would absolutely stay here again.

A great place to stay in a great location. Ocean with crashing waves directly ac ross the street, walking distance to restaurants, easy access to roads for day trips. What's not to love? The place was equipped with all the amenities you need to cook, do laundry, or just hang out on the lanai. Good sized condo - would stay again for sure.
The condo was clean and cozy. The accessibility to it was smooth and easy. It was so close to town for coffee, dinners, etc. You are able to get the local flavor of the town, watch sunsets from the balcony and experience Kona for all its beauty. Highly recommend.

The view and sunsets were amazing! We watched spinner dolphins while eating breakfast on the lanai two of the mornings. Cleanest VRBO we have stayed at. Restaurants, shops and farmers market all within 10 minute walking distance. You will hear cars going by, but it is well worth it if you want to be close to town with the best view! Communication with the resort was easy and they respond quickly. Hope to stay here again when we visit Kona.

Condo was clean and check in process easy . Chairs and umbrella were great for beach day . Lot of evening noise back side of condo 11pm - 1am . Bedroom was very warm verses rest of condo .The bed was very hard to sleep on

It was a great condo, with a ridiculously amazing view. On several of the mornings, we saw dolphins jumping. It was also really handy that the murphy bed is in an enclosed space with it's own door.
My only minor complaint is that the bottom sheet in the main bedroom didn't quite fit the bed, so no matter how much I tucked it down, it kept popping up. That should be easily resolved!

The property was as advertised and the photos are spot on. Located in a safe and great walkable area- easy too get to many restaurants and shops. The place was clean, well stocked, roomy and comfortable! The ac worked well and easy to turn off and on with many fans to circulate the air whether the air was on or off. It had a great lanai that we spent a lot of time on to watch the waves. A nightly highlight was watching the sunset from the lanai each night. Each sunset was unique! Property managers were helpful and easy to communicate with. Only thing to note is that the small street between the property and oceanfront was noisy at times, with some vehicles using loud music. Nothing the property manager can control. The entire atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. We spent one Friday night walking to a restaurant, sitting outside after eating and listening to a live band (low key music) and watching local volleyball. I would recommend this place!

Kona Alli #402 was everything I hoped for and more. Don’t be fooled by the dated exterior, this condo has been nicely renovated. The owner has done a fabulous job with this condo. It was very clean, well appointed and stocked with everything you need (I.e. loads of towels, wash clothes, sheets and bedding, pots & pans, plenty of dishes/flatware, cooking utensils, etc.). The condo has a dishwasher, and washer and dryer. The owner has a large supply of dish & dishwasher detergent, laundry detergents and dryer sheets. HOWEVER, while all of that is very nice, the SPECTACULAR the view is the condo’s best feature. AWESOME doesn’t do it justice. Watching the beautiful sunset brought my wife to tears. We didn’t take in the pool, but we did tour the neighborhood. There are a plethora of eateries and shops alone the main drag. The condo lanai (balcony) also overlooks the main strip. You get a great feel for the vibrance of the area. Some reviewers complained about the noise, but we had no issues with it. If I ever return to Kona, #402 @ Kona Alli will be my destination.

It Was OK
In short, the condo was just ok to us. I am extremely surprised to read so many of the other reviews mentioning cleanliness, as that was our main issue with the condo! The floor was filthy upon our arrival (I sent pics to the management company), heavy dust on fans, stain on bedspread, and even roaches (I saw 4) on/in the kitchen cabinets. As others have mentioned, the bedroom also gets uncomfortably warm. I hate to leave what sounds like an awful review, because there were positives. It really is in a convenient location for walking places, it really could be nice with better attention/cleaning, great views, and the management company was very responsive when I reached out to them. Overall (based on our stay), I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

The cleanliness issues mentioned are certainly not the standard that we strive for with our housekeeping partners. Our policy is to rectify an issue immediately, to the best of our ability, once notified. We did offer to have housekeeping back immediately to correct any deficiencies, which was declined. We have looked into the air flow problem, which has been corrected.
Again, we are pleased that over all your stay was a good one!
Location was exceptional, building was very safe, quiet, easy to access. The condo was absolutely first class! So tastefully designed! We also appreciated the extra detergent, soaps on hand. All of the appliances were exceptional! The kitchen was very well equipped so we ate out less than we normally would have! Extra bathroom towels would probably be helpful but washer/dryer made that easier to handle. The detachable shower heads were nice but kind of challenging to heat water while they are attached unless you don’t mind standing in cold water for a while. The smaller room with the pullout Murphy bed was so cute and comfortable. All of the beach gear was great too! Every great restaurant was within a few minutes of the condo, we rarely drove our car. Parking was covered, easy and safe. The lockbox was a hiccup a few times but the staff was quick to help us correct that issue. We had the best time and will gladly return to this lovely oasis!
Nicely furnished and best equipped condo we have stayed in. Kitchen is modern with all that you need, including a blender if you want to make smoothies with all of the tropical fruit available at the farmers market only a few blocks away. We only went to a restaurant a couple of times in 2 weeks, even though there are many good ones within walking distance. SafeWay supermarket and Walmart are a 5 minute drive. Nice beach chairs and beach towels if you explore the many beaches on the island. This condo is a 10! The location is convenient to restaurants and the harbor with boat tours. Management was nice, and very responsive. We asked for a couple of extra towels and they were quickly provided. The only negative is that the traffic noise in the evening can be bothersome if the large sliding doors are open, but since we needed the air conditioner every evening with the doors shut, it wasn't a problem. During the day it's not a problem and you can enjoy the view from the patio that has a ceiling fan. You still get that fantastic view and sunset with the doors closed. We would definitely stay here again.
