Birdie's Cottage is quaint and comfortable. It is small, but has everything you need. We especially loved the intimate hot tub in the backyard. We'd love to return sometime!
We loved our stay. We had so much fun looking at all the little Knick knacks and trinkets all over the house. The hot tub was cute and cozy, and the bed was nice and soft. A must stay for sure!
This was a wonderful home. It was close enough to the main attractions but far enough away that the evenings were quiet. The home was well stocked with kitchen items. The hot tub was a nice end to our days.
Very cute and inviting. At first it seemed really small but we managed just fine. After being there for several days, we felt like we were coming home at the end of each day. Loved looking at all the different collections.

Super fun kitschy spot. Probably qualifies as a tiny house but really cozy and relaxing. Beach is three blocks away and amazing. Great couple’s getaway!

Its was a nice and quiet. The place was clean upon arrival, and it was exactly what I expected from the pictures and description. It will definitely be considered next time we visit Seaside

Thank you, Austin, for your recent stay at the Historic Birdie's cottage. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to you staying again.
Spending time at the coast in March is always a bet. The weather can go sideways, but the sun can also come out for short bits and you don't want to miss that. Staying at Birdie's ensures you're going to have a pleasant visit when stuck inside. There's lots of adorable vintage touches that feel cozy and warm, and plenty of cookware to make meals. And when that sun pops out, you're just a short walk from the beach to soak it in. This is a great place to stay for those beachers who are nostalgic for a cottage vibe with convenient access to beach and town amenities (bumper cars!). I highly recommend staying at Birdie's.

Cute but needs work
I picked this cottage because of the kitschy, nostalgic look and enjoyed the unique touches. A lot of effort was made to create this. However, as some reviews have indicated, it needs work. The bathroom floor tiles are peeling, leaving black untiled areas right next to the shower. The bathroom is very small so it was almost impossible to avoid stepping on these areas. There was a small bath rug covering it, but for some reason, it was soaking wet. The smell in the house is very musty, most likely due to the old carpet in living area combined with lots of moisture. The bathroom smells of mold. The driveway that you are required to park in has thick bushes on both sides so you and your passengers can’t exit your vehicle. The front walkway by the door is also overgrown and you have to walk sideways if carrying anything. The backyard is shared with the house next door and not mentioned in the description. We had a large family next door playing on our side of the yard and had no privacy. I don’t mind sharing but would have liked to know that in advance. It is an old house but I have stayed in beach houses this old before and have not had these issues. These problems would need to be resolved before renting here again.

Hi Caroline, Thank you for your recent stay and for your feedback. We have had the landscaping worked on, so it is no longer overgrown. I will check with the property care team on the other items you mentioned. We appreciate your feedback and will work on the items. thank you again
Really a unique house. Eclectic ABOUNDS! Really fun to explore and everytime you open a door or cupboard door something pops out (Not literally) just items hidden all over. Really nice location with other rentals on the same street. Didn't use the Hot Tub, but was tucked away against some bamboo for privacy. Beds were quite comforable. The rooms with exception to the living room are small. Bathroom really small, shower, think RV sized. Also note they've replaced the "Wood" burning stove for a fake electric one (still added a nice ambience). We brought some "Presto" logs, will save for the future. Would deifinetly stay here again. The ground's (Shubbery) do need attention. I was driving my Ford F-250 and really had a narrow window to back down the driveway. Had to fold my mirrors in. Scrapped the sides of my truck everytime! Finally just let my wife out at the top and she walked down. Need to throw away the dead plants and pots. Be aware that you enter from the front side (Street Side). The rear lock does not except the "Secret Squirel Passcode" Has everything you need for cooking including some spices. (Just check the expiration Date)!! Quirky fun place, for the price you can't beat it!
