The Wheelhouse is a newly constructed 2 story home on stilts with beautiful beach views and quick access to the beach. Designed and furnished for comfort with over 2000 sq ft of tranquility. Start the day enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch watching the waves roll in, walk across the street for private beach access to spend the day with your toes in the sand and finish up enjoying dinner at the table that can seat all 10 guests. Located 3 minutes from central Surf City for dining and shopping. 4 Bedrooms for a private retreat. Main living is located on the top level to ensure the best view possible for lounging on the sofa, eating family meals together and porches on both levels to enjoy the ocean breeze. Great balance of accessibility to amenities on the island and access to the mainland while also having the space on the private access beach to spread out with family and friends.

When you pull up to The Wheelhouse you will be greeted by a nice flat, partially paved parking area that can fit up to 6 vehicles. Like most beach properties, the house is on stilts so you will climb the stairs to Floor 1 entrance.

From the driveway, if you turn towards the beach, directly across the road from you is the private beach access for the neighborhood. It is a very quick walk to get your toes in the sand!

Floor 1:
On Floor 1, you will find the king-bed master with ensuite double vanity with walk in shower bath, as well as access to the porch. Also on Floor 1 are two additional queen-bed bedrooms with a shared ensuite jack and jill bath; the bath has a water closet with a shower/tub combo and toilet allowing for privacy while sinks are in use. You will also find the laundry room with full size washer and dryer on this level.

Floor 2:
One of our absolute favorite features of the house, is the Floor 2 Porch that allows you watch the waves roll in on the private beach across the street. The layout of this house specifically put the living room and open kitchen on this floor to capitalize on the long range ocean view. The living room has a large sectional perfect for a group movie night. The eat-in kitchen bar and open dining area allows for everyone to be engaged and part of the fun. The luxury kitchen boast of beautiful stainless steel appliances and all the tools you will need to host a family style dinner. Eating together is a priority for us, so we ensured the table could accommodate all of the guest. We also have a drip and k-cup coffee machine so you can enjoy that morning cup on the porch. The 4th queen bedroom and ensuite bathroom is located on this floor as well as a half bath.

To help you and your group enjoy the fun of the beach, we provide chairs as well as beach towels for guest, and an enclosed outdoor shower for easy washing.

We are just a very short drive (or bike ride!) from the central amenities and restaurants of Surf City.

The house has the highest speed wifi available and a private work space in bedroom 3 making this a great work from remote work option capable of all your video conferencing needs.

Security:
We have three security cameras + a ring doorbell on this property. The security cameras are on the upper porch, lower porch, and side door. The ring doorbell is at the front door.
