EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Steven's Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia river to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is the YOUR responsibility to make alternate plans for travel. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken and add additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter and mountain passes can be closed anytime of the year because of wildfires, rockslides or other occurrences. Directions over all the routes will be sent to you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check pass reports(and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave.
2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur anytime because of fire, rockslides, mud flows...and we have no control over this. There are many hiking, biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are a number of beautiful hikes, in and around our valley, that we would be happy to recommend.

IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, impassable roads/driveways). If it snows while here you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads, driveways...to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA
**WEATHER CONDITIONS**
We cannot be responsible for winter weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than eight hours and the closures prohibit you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay for an arrival within three months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter.
**Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source, not the main one. If there should be tech issues or the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through VRBO. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer that your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. The guest will use the main electric heating source at any times that the propane stove may be out of operation.

Great location! The cabin has everything we needed. So quiet and lovely! The trail is right out the back door. Claw foot tub was great for soaking. The bed is super comfortable.
This was perfect cabin for our stay. Nice and quiet. Well stocked for all the needs of the week. Close to the Mazama store (1 mile), the trails, and Winthrop and Twisp. We used it for a hiking adventure and some of our desired hikes were a little farther than hoped but that didn't change our enjoyment of this cabin. If we return to this area, we will definitely try and book this cabin again!
It is rustic but thats what we came for. Very unique custom interiors that are both clever and quaint as well as functional. It had everything we needed. Access to the l9cal Mazama trail system is literally right there out of the back door. The management team and even the property owner were incredibly communicative when we had a minor internet issue on arrival. Unforgettable stay in the Methow and are trying to book a return in ski season.
