The kitchen was very well-stocked with everything we needed, the entire house was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were responsive and we had an absolutely lovely stay in this beautiful home!

This house was a delight. The cleanest and best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had in a rental, many home-y thoughtful extras like local soaps and coffee, fantastic seating, lovely accessories that added comfort, and the piano and shuffleboard were so so fun. While the number of bathrooms was a challenge at times for our large number of people, the rest of the house was just so lovely. Our family/friends with mobility challenges were able to use the path above the driveway to avoid the steps up/down and that was a big help, as was the ability to load/unload closer to the front door with the roadside access area. The bunk room was also great - 100% would book again!

Great family vacation

The property was clean, and beautifully decorated. It was in a great location for skating, tubing, and going out to eat with family. On the nights we stayed in there was ample cooking supplies and well-stocked spices.

The house is great and in a nice area, convenient to town and areas of interest. Kitchen has all you need to cook and eat, would definitely stay again

Wonderful Stay at Lake Junaluska!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa De la Mijenta! The home is roomy and cheery. The kitchen is very well equipped. Plenty of paper product, trash bags, soaps and shampoos were provided. The Cabin Fairy responded quickly to all of our requests/needs. Our family had a very pleasant stay and we would love to return!

Beautiful Home

This home was everything we needed for a beautiful stay for my daughter’s college graduation this weekend. It accommodated everyone with comfort. The host was easy to contact and answered quickly when we reached out. Wonderful quiet location. Driveway is steep so be prepared for parking. I would recommend this home to everyone and would love to visit again.

Perfect Family Getaway

Our group of extended family across three generations had a lovely stay at Casa De La Mijenta. It truly felt like we were staying in someone’s lovingly cared for and thoughtfully decorated home. The beds were comfortable, there were games and activities for the kids, the kitchen was well-stocked. The home was spotlessly clean. We usually drove down the hill and parked in the gravel spots by the walking bridge to quickly access the lake activities. We would definitely return to this home in the future.

We loved everything about the house— plenty of room, nice bedrooms, good layout, spacious and well equipped kitchen. Most of the house was immaculately clean and well furnished. My only complaints are related to the cleaning crew, not really the house. There were big spots of sticky stuff spilled all around the living room. Looked like ice cream. As well as several other marks of drinks spilled. Clearly those floors hadn’t been mopped or even inspected— because they were quite noticeable. Thankfully everything else was clean. So maybe it was an oversight. But definitely not ideal.

July 4th at Lake Junaluska

Our family spent 5 days and 4 nights at Casa De La Mijenta. We had a wonderful time. Plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed our scenic walks to Lake Junaluska. On July 4th we enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show at the Lake. Everything had been thought of to make our stay great even down to roasting sticks for hotdogs and marshmallows over the firepit. We will definitely return to Casa De La Mijenta if we plan another trip to Lake Junaluska. Would love to see it in the fall. Book this home you will not be disappointed.

Your property was outstanding! Truly the BEST we have ever stayed at in 17 years of coming to this area! WE REALLY valued the cleanliness, style and class it has! The only difficult part was we traveled with a very active senior and the uneven section of your front porch entry stairs were a challenge… it unfortunately caused our dearest Pastor friend to fall & get hurt. Please repair the front steps when you can so no one else gets injured. We LOVED everything else about your beautiful & CLEAN home and hope to book it again! Thank you!
