About this property
Black Bear Falls - Log Cabin Retreat w/ Waterfalls, Mountain Views & Game Room
Where rugged meets refined, our breathtaking custom built log cabin awaits you in a private mountain setting, just minutes from Maggie Valley! You will drive 1.4 miles up a community paved road, where the cabin is nestled perfectly in the mountains of Waynesville, at an elevation of 3520 Ft. The cascading sounds of the waterfall drown out the city life and will soothe you into relaxation, making this the perfect family retreat. Take a load off with a cup of coffee, as you sit in one of the handcrafted vine rocking chairs, on the 44 Ft. long porch. When the sun goes down, roast some marshmallows and warm yourself up at the fire pit, as you sit on the bear benches that were designed and created by one of our local area chain saw artists. The cabin is 2200 SqFt 3BR 4 Full BA, and sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. Our log home will spark and inspire your imagination, allowing you and your family to create memories for a life time.
This cabin is located in Apple Creek Acres community, only 30 minutes from Asheville, conveniently close to Maggie Valley, The Biltmore House, Cattaloochee Ski Resort, The Blue Ridge Parkway, Harrah's Cherokee Casinos, the Smoky Mountain National Forest and much more.
Our BASE RATE is discounted for parties of 1-4 guests. Reservations with 5 or more guests will see a Guest Fee of $15 per guest/per night, which maintains a reasonable pricing structure as the party increases in size. This structure was setup to appeal to couples and families, both small and large.
This beautiful 3 story log cabin comes equipped with all you'll need for a great mountain getaway. We have 3 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, and can sleep up to 10 comfortably (6 adults plus kids). The cabin comes with a fully stocked kitchen to meet all your cooking needs and a full size washer and dryer. An open floor plan offers ample room for large families. The family room offers a gas fireplace, large TV and DVD player, and opens up to the large private rocking chair back porch. The back porch offers an outdoor dining area where you can sit and relax all day enjoying the waterfall and fire pit in the back yard; both new in 2017. In the master bedroom, enjoy a king size bed, TV, private bathroom with large walk-in shower, and private porch access. The second bedroom features a queen bed. The third bedroom features 2 trundle beds suitable to sleep 2 adults or 4 kids comfortably. The third bedroom also has its own private bathroom with tub/shower combo. Downstairs you'll enjoy a large game room with a full size pool table, large TV, DVD player, various board games, a Nintendo Wii with games, and a great selection of movies. The game room also offers a full size pullout couch and full bath.
Spectrum cable and Tri-Band WiFi is available throughout the cabin with internet speed of 500 MBPS and 200 plus TV channels that include HBO, NFL Network, Showtime, Starz, Starz Encore and the Movie Channel.
For your convenience and easy access, we have provided both Apple and Android Chargers on the night stand in both the Master Bedroom & Bedroom #2; as well as, on the entertainment center in the Game Room.
Celebrating a special occasion amongst the reserved party, please contact me. I'll be glad to setup the cabin to help you capture that special moment.
We ask our guests to select the recommended $119 insurance when booking. Please do not select the $5,000 damage deposit option. We do not ask this of our guests, but the travel company still makes it an option.
The protection plan protects you and your reserved party, for accidental damage to the cabin during your stay up to $5,000. This is to help you have a peace of mind during your vacation, and eliminates the need of requiring you to put up a refundable deposit.

Why they chose this property
My husband and I married in 2012 on top of Crowder's Mountain in Real Tree Camo attire, Cowboy Hats and Boots. We walked the mountain for our wedding and married on top. We both grew up around mountains during our childhood. I was born and raised in Shelby, NC and visited all of the NC mountains, including Maggie Valley as a kid. I went to Ghost Town every summer. It remains one of my best childhood memories until this day. My husband was born and raised in Houston, TX and spent his summers in Bandera, TX where his father had a large mountain ranch. Him and his father built a small cabin on the ranch together with no power tools. This cabin was used for their summer vacation home and deer hunting. For spring break, his family went to Vail, Colorado for snow skiing.
In order to fulfill our love for the mountains, we are managing and maintaining this mountain rental for our dad, to help keep the mountain memories close to our hearts.
