Welcome to Getzaway, a peaceful lake front cottage located on Lake Ann in Almira Township. Get the best of both worlds with this vacation home - Lake Ann is an all-sports lake, however, the house itself is located on a small, quiet cove that discourages loud motor-craft from speeding along your shoreline. This 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage is newly remodeled and sleeps 4 adults. With one queen bed, and two twin beds, it is perfect for couples and/or small families. Enjoy modern comforts like air conditioning, wireless internet, and a fully equipped kitchen. Essentials and a full size washer/dryer are provided for your convenience. Enjoy the beautiful lake view from the kitchen window while seated at the island. The living room slider door accesses the large deck which is perfect for morning coffee, grilling, outdoor dining, and overall relaxation on a lovely summer day. A clear night will boast an opportunity for fabulous star gazing - shooting stars and satellites can often be spotted while enjoying a quiet evening around the fire pit. But don't forget about the lovely waterfront! A private dock is provided for recreational boaters and serious fishermen. Enjoy a morning paddle on the lake with one of the kayaks or paddle board available for your use. Toddlers will enjoy splashing along the private sandy shoreline while older children can wade into deeper water or swim off the end of the dock or Lily Pad foam swim platform. Electric car owners will appreciate a 220 volt charger located in the garage for overnight charging.

This home is located approximately 15 miles west of Traverse City where one can find excellent dining opportunities and outdoor activities. Wineries and Lake Michigan beaches are also easily accessed. State hiking trails are located adjacent to the neighborhood within walking distance. Downtown Lake Ann is located 3 miles away - visit the Lake Ann Brewing Company for amazing craft beer. While there, listen to outdoor music and order a meal from The Stone Oven next door. The town of Interlochen is 9 miles away with various dining establishments, along with the Interlochen Center for the Arts, which hosts popular events performed both by talented students and professional entertainers. Getzaway has much to offer in relaxation and entertainment!

Exactly what we were looking for!

My sister and I needed a cozy lake house for a girls trip, and this was the perfect place! Impeccably clean, beautiful and picturesque location, great owners who communicated well. The house had absolutely everything we needed and was so comfortable. We hope to return next spring!

Perfect Lakeside Getaway

Exactly as pictured! Perfect for a trip into Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes if you feel like leaving the lake. Host was communicative and accommodating. Would love to come back!

Lovely stay on Lake Ann

My daughter and I had a fabulous stay at Karen's cottage! The home was immaculate and so well appointed. The view is absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful! Karen was lovely to work with and was available to answer any questions I had! As someone who owns several rental homes, I can honestly say that this is one of the best properties I've stayed in. I highly recommend booking your stay at this beautiful cottage!

Hidden GEM!

What a beautiful property! It was sparkling clean, and fully stocked with everything you could need. Situated with a private yard leading to Lake Ann, this clearly loved little house is the perfect Michigan getaway! Perfect size for a couple, and I HIGHLY recommend. The owners have clearly put a lot of love and thought into this home and communication was very clear. Don’t miss out on this one!

Great Find On Lake Ann

Such a lovely little cottage! It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked for our week-long stay. It’s clear that Karen and Steve put so much thought into making everything as comfortable for guests and the communication with them was exceptional. They provided many amenities (kitchen supplies, water toys and gear, towels, etc) and the location was quiet and beautiful. Our only challenge was that our speed boat with an in-board motor wasn’t able to dock because of shallow water. Others might not have that issue and Karen provided details of the how deep the water was before we arrived. Highly recommend if looking for a small cottage.

I know that not being able to dock your boat was disappointing - it certainly made loading and unloading boaters a bit challenging! Generally most boats have no issues docking at our place - the water is plenty deep to accommodate fishing boats and pontoon boats with outboard motors. We welcome you back anytime - we enjoyed meeting you and your family.
