A Lakeside Delight w/PRIVATE Beach & Dogs Welcome

Awesome vacation spot in Traverse City on Bass Lake (between Long Lake and Silver Lake). Beautifully furnished home right on the water - the lake is just 20 feet of deck away! Every room has a gorgeous lake view. No steps to climb for the older or disabled members of your family.
Lakeside has 3 full lake lots (over 150 feet of private sandy beach) with sparkling clear water. 350 acre Bass Lake is an all sports lake - you can bring your own boat or borrow our beautiful Bennington pontoon at a low additional cost (1/3 what is charged in town).
This super clean 1750 square foot home has 3 bedrooms (2 have queens and our huge one has a queen plus 2 twins) and 2 full baths. This is a modern home with central air, a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, a full laundry room and beautiful porcelain woodgrain and hardwood floors (no carpets). An Absopure water cooler provides delicious spring water that we provide - no need to drag cases of bottled water on your vacation. Grocery stores are just minutes away - one even delivers!
Lakeside has high speed wireless internet and cable, large smart TV's, a full bookcase and a special children's DVD library kids can view from bed. A new Generac was recently installed. Short Term Rental License # STR-002360 Long Lake Township.
If you have a family member that can't 'do steps', this is truly a vacation paradise for them. They can be totally on their own - from the kitchen to the bedroom to the bathroom to the outside deck chairs to the beach and the water - no climbing involved!
Your dogs, if you bring them, will have an incredible vacation - no crazy extra charges for those special family members. If you want to bring dogs, mention it in your booking email so we can send info about our required pet agreement (just common sense items).

Great quiet weekend stay!

We had such a great stay. It was so nice to be right on the water and have a clean sandy area for the baby to play in! We loved going to pontoon rides and just relaxing! The house was stocked with everything we needed, even a nice pack n play so we didn’t have to bring our own. Would definitely return for another vacation! Also - only about a 20 minute drive to downtown Traverse City and a Meijer close by.

Great family vacation

We chose this property due to it's location, proximity to water, and amenities. It did not disappoint. It's close enough to Traverse City so that stores and tourist spots were short drives away and remote enough to provide a quiet, relaxed environment. Trudy was a fantastic host, beginning with providing us every detail that we needed prior to our trip. She was there to greet us when we arrived and reviewed everything about the property in person. The amount of detail in the instructions posted around the house made for an easy, stress free experience. The house itself is right on the water and access to the pontoon boat and other watercraft was convenient. The house was clean, modern, and had everything we needed. The checkout process was well defined and easy to follow. I would recommend Trudy and this property to anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful family vacation in Northern Michigan.

Wonderful family vacation

Lakeside delight was better than we hoped! The place was clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, the sandy beach, and the expansive deck. Everyone ages 1-73 had a great time (including our dog!). Trudy was quick to respond when we had questions. We look forward to returning in the future!

Gorgeous lake house with all of the toys!

Everything was great! This was the best outfitted vacation home I have ever stayed in! There was lots of water toys such as kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats.

FUN-Tastic Family Vacation Rental :)

The pictures definitely don't reflect ALL the wonderfulness in this property. The house had everything we could want & need and so much more! The sunsets are so amazing sitting on the beach, deck, living room and pontoon boat rides. The use of kayaks, paddle-boards, bonfire pit, etc. made our experience more enjoyable. Perfect location to shopping, restaurants & amazing Front Street & Old Town. Trudy thinks of Everything to make sure your stay is Perfect! We will make this our annual vacation spot every year now!!!

We loved this property!

Trudy was a pleasure to deal with and we loved our stay! The home is clean, had everything we needed and we also enjoyed renting the pontoon boat. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets sitting on the dock. My husband loved the handicap grab bars in the main floor bathroom. You won't be disappointed renting this place!

Great vacation

Beautiful house in a wonderful location with everything that you can think of at your fingertips. The house and lake were so inviting we rarely wanted to leave. When we did venture out, shopping and downtown traverse was close and convenient to access. You could fish right off the dock and an assortment of kayaks and paddle boards gave us lots of options in addition to the pontoon rental. It was so nice that we could bring our dog and she could enjoy the lake too! Her and the kids swam right off the shore. Some spots require water shoes for my taste, but the kids didn’t seem to mind and a short boat ride gets you to a nicer sandbar. We had a great time!

Great place! stayed in quite a few vacation houses and enjoyed all but this is probably the overall best place we've stayed. Clean, comfortable and almost everything you could want or need. the pontoon boat deal is icing on the vacation cake.

#Making memories

Our annual up north family vacation was perfect. Trudy was very organized and responsive to all of our questions. The rental was spotless and had enough “water toys” that we all could participate! Perfect for small children. My grandsons had a blast. Best rental we have in the 10 years we’ve had this tradition!

Everything we hoped for!

It’s the perfect spot! Right on the water with great beach for our little grandchildren. Many things included to enjoy being in the water with? The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed renting the pontoon to site see and fish. The house is beautiful and met all our needs. Plenty of parking for our three cars and a trailer. This was our first year to start making family memories with our kids and grandkids. We couldn’t have imaged being anywhere else. We can’t say enough good about it!!! We booked 2020 back in January because we felt good about the place just with the pictures. We were right on! Trudy and her house are the best!!

Wonderful Vacation Spot

This vacation home has everything needed for fun and relaxation. There are so many outdoor activity options which appealed to all ages. The beach was very nice for the kids. The many watercraft and the pontoon availability were major factors in selecting this home and they were exactly what we expected. There are nearby stores and restaurants. It's close enough to Traverse City attractions while still being secluded and peaceful. Trudy was very friendly and organized. Overall, a great place to stay!

Five stars every time!

We’ve been staying here for several years. It’s a true vacation home. You don’t have to bring anything! Grocery store close by. Lots of places to eat. Nice sandy beach for the kids. Fire pit for s’mores. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and she is able to go out on the deck - ramps provided. We always leave saying we can’t wait til next year! Thanks, Trudy. We’vE made lots of fun memories thanks to you!

Great waterfront property with grass area, beach front and dock for enjoying the outdoors.

The property was perfect for our family of 2 adult parents, 4 young adults and 2 small dogs. Separate building for hanging out, playing games or doing puzzles. Quiet lake for kayaking and paddle boarding. Great amenities with fire wood, absopure water cooler, corn hole game, dog cages and dog pen. Kayaks and paddle boards also available as part of rental. Air conditioning a big plus on those hot summer nights.. Really had all of the amenities of home. Actually had more ammentities than home, as it was on a small lake :-)

Fabulous!

This was our first ever house rental, so we were not quite sure what to expect. However, we had a fantastic stay at the lake house. We were a party of 6 adults and a small dog (Trudy even provides dog crates). The house was clean and well catered for. The sunrises and sunsets from the dock were beautiful, and the use of the pontoon was an added bonus to get us all out on the lake. Trudy was very organized and very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this property.

Ideal Vacation Rental

All of the excellent reviews of this home proved to be true. Please read them, as we will report on what specifically made this home perfect for us. First, the house is located well away from main roads, and the approach lane is seldom traveled, allowing for a quiet, unperturbed stay. The lake is just a few feet away from the deck, and recreating with the home’s three kayaks, pontoon rowers, and two paddle boards provided exceptional and ample water activities. Not only is the home lovely, it is well-appointed by its thoughtful owner with just about everything we could have needed or expected. The owner made herself available for any needs, although we encountered few. The setting in beautiful. We enjoyed watching many sunsets across the water, fishing, exploring the lake by day, dining on the deck in the evening, and making s’mores by the campfire at night. But perhaps most enjoyable was how our Golden Retriever experienced the vacation of a lifetime, leaping off the dock for tennis balls, relentlessly investigating the origins of waves, and lounging in the shade when she had finally become too exhausted to swim any more. This property was absolutely ideal, and we recommend it absolutely!

Amazing!!!!
