Amazing place, absolutely finominal experience, grounds are immaculate, definitely will go back,Michelle was wonderful, gave a tour of the museum, thank you for this great stay
Wonderful destination with plenty of scenery and history to take-in. We loved the smooth check-in process and independence of the location. The cottage was lovely on the outside, the interior was just as described in the listing, and all the amenities and appliances were accessible to our needs. We were able to get to the property with no problems, and check-out without any hiccups. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in a compellingly historic location that can provide insight into one of the most interesting artistic figures of her era.
Quiet, clean, comfortable, and close to our family gathering. This property fit our exact need. The host was very attentive to our needs while respecting our privacy. The grounds were lovely and very peaceful. Perfect time away for us.
This place was perfect for my stay, a very convenient location and very relaxing. The host Michelle was wonderful very quick on answering questions. A great place to stay with a small dog as well. The tour of the museum was great and very informative. Will surely stay here again when I am in the area. Thanks for a wonderful visit.
This cottage is spotless. The hosts live on grounds so are available for questions. I definitely plan to go again. A great place to decompress. Host is super. Go to Jonah's restaurant!
We stayed at Pope’s cottage during Christmas of 2024 while we were visiting family in the area. The cottage was as advertised. It was clean, comfortable, & the outside was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We loved the tour of the grounds & learning the history of Laura Pope Forester. We would stay at the cottage again. Thanks Michelle for sharing your beautiful place!
Pope’s Museum Cottage is a welcome cozy respite in the most beautiful setting of the exquisitely manicured grounds of the historical landmark. My pet was so at home at happy to run in The enormous fenced area available, especially after a long drive.I so enjoyed learning about the history of the museum… and meeting the owners.I look forward to visiting family again and the opportunity to stay in the cottage again! Thanks Michelle and Dan for all of your effort in restoration!
