About this property

Lake View / Beach Access All-season Vacation Home

Elk Point is a gated community of about 90 homes with our own private community beach , swimming area with a raft in the summertime, and beautiful beach deck and barbeque area. Our house is directly across the street from the lake with stunning lake views from two lake facing decks and a quiet backyard deck and play area. In the winter, Heavenly Valley is 10 minutes away, with Kirkwood, Alpine, Squaw and Mt. Rose nearby to ski. Sledding for kids of all ages is in the backyard and on Hill Street, and cross country skiing is out your front door.
All summer activities abound in the Lake Tahoe basin… Beach, Boats, Golf, Fishing and Hiking. Many resorts with rentals and night life.
Spring and Fall could be the best time of the year if you want to get away for some R&R and still have excellent weather without the crowds.
The Maximum nighttime occupancy is 6, with no more than 12 during the day. Quiet hours are from 9pm till 8am. Wi-Fi is free.
The home is inspected yearly and is fully compliant with the Tahoe Douglas Fire Department, including smoke, C02 detectors and fire extinguishers

We came here for a short family trip. The location is excellent: quiet, short walk to the beach, partial view of the lake from balconies. The house itself was also very nice and clean, with all basic amenities present.

Wonderful home and location

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation here with family. In addition to the amazing views of the lake, the house was well-stocked and the owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect summer getaway

The whole family enjoyed our stay. The home is beautiful, great location for summer activities; swimming, hiking, boating, kayaking, a private beach, and just a great place to chill. Our host Lee, was responsive and provided everything we needed, including some local restaurant suggestions. Looking forward to a return trip!

Elk Point Tahoe

Great spot , access to a private beach , hiking and walking trails. Nice peekaboo views of the lake from the house. Sunsets incredible just steps away to the private beach. Lee is very communicative and was available whenever I had questions.

Right next to Lake Tahoe

The house is across the street from the lake, as described, but there is a 2-story house on the other side of the street, so that you cannot see the lake from the living room/dining room. You have a good but partial view from the balcony on the top level. We enjoyed sitting there in the afternoon and watching a red-tailed hawk sitting on a branch just a few feet away.The private beach is just steps away, which is good, because the public beach seems to be very crowded in late July, judging from the long line of cars.The back patio is spacious with good shade from the trees, but we found the indoor spaces a bit cramped, especially the kitchen, where only one person can work comfortably at a time. The pots, pans, plates, flatware, et centera were heavily used but serviceable.

This house was great for our family for the weekend! Lee was great at communicating with us and leaving all the information we needed. The house is located close enough for our family to walk to the beach. The house was stocked with all the necessities and storage for our kids' stuff.

Incredible location

My family and I had a great stay for a week in Elk Point. Short walk to private beach with sand volleyball and barbecue and not dealing with parking and congestion at other local beaches was a great advantage! Home was clean yet dated with some appliances struggling (ice maker and range).

We built at Elk Point…. The best kept secret at Lake Tahoe because it's private and quiet, with our own beach area, and super close to all Lake Tahoe activities and walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants and we are within a gated community.

What makes this property unique

I enjoy taking a nap, reading a book in a hammock on the deck that faces the lake as well as the back secluded deck. It's nice to have the flexibility of staying on the property or taking a short walk to our beach several times in a day. Our property is surrounded by views of trees in the back and the side for lots of privacy.
