The home was perfect for our stay. We did white water rafting, zip lining, and hiking. It was the perfect place to stop off between all these activities, and very easy to access. Everything was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable!
House was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The mattress and bedding was top notch. It was conveniently located to the New River Bridge and other activities. We went to Tee Time Restaurant and had some incredibly tasty burgers. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at The Brown Stone on Main. The rental was spotless and comfortable. We had no difficulties settling in a very comfortable bed and waking up refreshed. Thank you for great communication with Harry and making our stay stress free.
clean, comfortable, good parking, excellent host communication. Loved the big shower - except it's not enclosed. So if you don't want to be cold, let the shower warm the bathroom up for a few minutes before gettin in.
We were looking for a place to stay for a weekend trip to the New River Gorge (NRG) NP and this was perfect. The place was a good size for our family of four. It has been furnished with care and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would stay again when I visit NRG NP.
We enjoyed the Brownstone for several reasons:1. It was so very easy to get in. As a person who has artificial joints, I had no problem walking in and getting my luggage in.(Not saying it’s handicap equipped because I don’t know the rules, just sharing my experience).2.It was very, very clean. 3.The bed, pillows and bedding were so nice. Possibly the most comfortable that I’ve slept on in any rental. The primary bedroom had a dual control mattress so I think someone even pickier than me would enjoy that.4.The WiFi worked!!! Another big deal if you need to work a bit while on your trip.5. The check in and out required a code that was given to me we’ll be our arrival. So there was no clumsy conversation or waiting on someone to show up. It was seamless and my less than patient husband loved that.6.We had more space than we needed.Full size appliances, large tv in living room and primary bedroom (we didn’t use but they were there). Plenty of storage space.Nicely sized shower.Con: I couldn’t have my chicken noodle soup in bed. That is a spoiled brat thing and I respected the rules as I presume that there was a reason. That is truly the only negative thing we said (just me lol) the entire time. We didn’t use the patio but there was a dining set with a big umbrella there. We also didn’t use the super convenient laundry.Overall it was a really really nice VRBO. Consider the price and it’s an above 5 star place. Thanks again Harry!
Everything was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for my mother, cousin and I on our Girl’s Trip. The only thing I couldn’t give 5 stars is the location just because it is right on the side of the road
Very clean and new property. Great place to relax after a day of hiking. Was able to wash hiking clothes since it has a washer and dryer. Kitchen was great for preparing meals. Would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at The Brown Stone; the photos accurately reflect the unit and it's a really convenient location. The Brown Stone well-lit and fully stocked with comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family of 3. Driving to Fayetteville for dinner took about 10 minutes (lots of great options) and driving to ACE for white water rafting took less than 15 minutes. The location is close to the road (hwy 16) so there is a lot of road noise. If you're a light sleeper, you may want earplugs.Harry is a great host and I'd definitely recommend this spot to others visiting the area.
My friend and i decided to head to West Virginia to enjoy a long fall weekend.
This little house was spotless and in the most convenient location to awesome breweries, Fayetteville, hiking trails and the New River Bridge Walk.
The grocery store was literally around the corner. We loved the little front patio area for cocktails after a fun day out. We’ll definitely be back.
This was the BEST little place. First impression when we walking in the door, IT SMELLED AMAZING. There was a little candle warmer going, and lamps on, so the lighting was so cozy. We put our stuff down and took showers then a nap after a long drive. The towels and bed sheets smelled amazing! I am a big smell person, and this whole place smelled so clean, and WAS so clean. The shower was huge, the couches were comfy, full kitchen. The best sheets I was not expecting it to be two rooms, but I guess I am silly. TV was nice and quick, bed was a SPLIT KING with adjustable bed frame to go up/down which we have at home and I was not expecting. This place was just beyond all expectations and so wonderful, and we are most certainly going to come back to stay again. Conveniently located off the highway, and so close to Beckly, New River Gorge National Park, New Roots Farm, and Fayetteville. Wood Iron had amazing made from scratch breakfast, and Pies and Pints was so yummy for dinner, try the Thai Pizza and Steak and Cheese Sandwich!! Also, there was two bedrooms and I didn't even realize. This place was great!
