This is such a great location, and the house was exactly as described. Beds were very comfortable, and our dogs felt right at home. We enjoyed having a fenced yard and outdoor seating area, but mostly we loved being right in the midst of all things Brevard and not having to get in the car once we got back from hiking.

Host was very nice and quick to communicate. Had trouble with both tv’s. Location is close to the quaint downtown area. Washer/dryer was great. The house is much bigger inside than it looks from the street. Wish the furniture was more comfortable. A nice walkable neighborhood for those with dogs. The backyard has a secure high fence, but is completely rock/stone, no grass.

We are regular visitors to Brevard and have stayed in many different rentals. This was our first opportunity at Blue Bungalow and we loved it! The home is lovely, has a comfortable layout and is well appointed. The back covered patio and fenced yard provided a lovely outdoor space for us and our dog. The house is located close to downtown and within a lovely, walkable neighborhood. Hope we are able to visit again soon!

Thank you for your review, Jill. I'm sorry the deck was a mess. It was likely due to the amount of wind & rain we've had most recently. I'm everything else was comfortable. I hope you will remember us next time you come to Brevard.

This home was perfect for our stay. We came into town for a wedding at Pretty Place with the reception at The Lumberyard. Most of the wedding guests stayed in Brevard as well — which made it easy to spend extra time together. The bungalow is the cutest. Everything we needed was there (including a blender for morning protein shakes). The bed I slept in was fairly firm with just the right amount of pillow‑top — supportive and very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet, with very few cars passing by on Friday and Saturday. I saw several people walking their dogs who waved when I was outside… always a good sign. There’s a church on the corner that had services Sunday morning, but the traffic came from the main road and didn’t disturb us at all.Parking was easy — between the driveway and the space along the white picket fence, we never had to shuffle cars when coming and going. The hosts communicated wonderfully and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

About the host

Host profile image
We fell in love with Brevard several years ago as we began to consider retirement. We visited several larger and smaller communities in Western North Carolina, but Brevard seemed like the perfect place for us. Its proximity to two airports and other larger cities like Hendersonville and Asheville provide all of the amenities we could ever need without experiencing the heavy traffic and congestion we lived with in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metro area of North Texas! When we bought the Blue Bungalow to live in while we built our home in Pisgah Forest, we knew it would be a place to share with others who might enjoy the convenience of in town living while being so close to the many beautiful forests and attractions WNC has to offer. The moderate climate and majestic views of the NC mountains are the gifts we appreciate every day. We hope you enjoy your stay!
