Home away from home. Generous and accomodating hosts that had engineered unique features to the cabin, bathrooms, camp shower and property that made the entier stay peaceful and comfortable.

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cabin, and any host would be happy to have you as guests.
Love, love, love it! This place is too cool and has so many amenities. A perfect getaway and the host is salt-of-the-earth. This is an easy stepdown into off-grid if you want to try it out or a great step up if you enjoy camping and want a break. Cannot say enough and I don't want to spoil the surprises because it all starts when you park the car!

Peace and quiet! James was so thoughtful and nice. The cabin is Off-grid but doesn't feel like it's lacking anything. Well thought out property with everything you need included.Solar lighting in all the spaces as well as an included battery pack for phone charging etc. Was a perfect stay for going to Diamond Hill mine.

Or stay here was unbelievable the host was very communicative very giving and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable.
This is an amazing off-grid cabin experience.
And while it's off great it's not too far out of the way so it's convenient to get to the various things in this area.
I would give this 100 out of 100 Stars
Best damn cabin stay we've had ever.
It was great fishing but no electricity and Jug water you have carry to be able take shower. Composting toilet . Everything would be great if you could drive to cabin you have walk away . And you use a wagon bring your stuff to cabin. We left to go get something to eat it started raining. So we had walk back to cabin in rain . And the water runs across right where you have walk to go to cabin . We got our feet soaked as well as ourselves. It was really a pain having us a wagon when we bought ice and when we had leave . If you wouldFind away for us drive to the cabin it would be a great place . But I have a bad back all that walking and having pull a wagon is just to much . It’s a shame cause it’s nice except for that . Maybe at least have a golf cart so people want have get wet are make 4 trips get there stuff to cabin . That’s just to much walking!

As a VRBO host, we do our best to accurately describe what we have to offer at our cabin. We are glad that you chose our cabin for your stay. However, if you had read the description before booking, you most likely would not have booked our cabin. And you would not have been surprised, about it being off grid. But, at least you enjoyed your experience fishing here. Thank you.
Jim and his wife really thought of everything! If you’re looking to experience off grid living, this is your cabin! It was homey, spacious, quiet, and relaxing. The goats were well behaved and very loving. We were able to walk on some trails, fish in the pond, hang out in the cabin, and explore the town. There is food and shopping close by for groceries OR pick your eggs right out of the chicken coop! The cabin had everything you would need for a stay away from home: coffee, tea, sugar, cream, toiletries, wet wipes, lots of water, firewood, cards, games. No internet, TVs, or electricity to get in the way of a great experience! We didn’t miss any of it. There is a separate shower, separate double privy (composting toilet) which also serves as a very spacious changing room. The bed was so very comfortable and we stayed warm under all the handmade quilts. There is room for eating inside or outside, a potbelly cook stove, and a 2 burner Coleman if you aren’t keen on cooking with wood. Overall our stay was a 100 out of 10: amazing!! We will definitely stay again and recommend it to the world!!

Any VRBO host would be lucky to have Terry and Russel, as their guests. They were very friendly, kind, neat, and respectful. We hope we see them again soon.
