From the first time walking in, I felt like I had come home. Peaceful,,& just plain wonderful. Gail is a wonderful host. Everything was neat and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Our stay was wonderful. Gail went way beyond . Very kind people in Jasper, Arkansas. The scenery was amazing. Definitely worth checking this rental out.
This house is in a great, remote location-exactly what my husband and I wanted for our trip. Communication with Gail was great. The 2 dogs are so sweet! We came for the hiking. The best one we hiked was Samuel Throne. Jasper Pizza and Ozark Cafe are excellent places to eat. Really wanted to float the Buffalo, but sadly they are in a drought so it was too low. We'll definitely be back!
Perfect spot right in the middle of the best roads in America.
We had a fantastic stay and the property was fantastic. We had a misunderstanding about the length of stay that was completely my fault. The property owner was very understanding and worked with us to get our stuff out before the next scheduled guests checked in. All in all, it was a fantastic stay and i would recommend this place 100%
Occasional highway noise was the only clue there was civilization at the end of the driveway. A large historic rustic cabin with most modern conveniences. Perfect getaway.
Lovey, remote property that is close to all the attractions in this area, including Jasper and the rivers. House is comfortable and clean, fully stocked. A good place to relax. Really enjoyed it.
This place is tucked away off the main road and very quiet. Great for just unplugging, relaxing and exploring the area. I was there to float the Buffalo River with a group so it was a little further from the put ins than I preferred but still very doable. Gail was a great host and communication and ease of check in was perfect!
Great experience renting this property. Very clean and well equipt. The little extras that were provided made renting so much nicer. The owner was always available for questions. Overall fantastic!
We really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Rock Lodge (CRL). The house was very cute and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and grills came in handy. Our only complaints were that there wasn't a dishwasher, the bathroom was a tad small, and we had to purchase additional toilet paper. Otherwise we had everything we needed and had a very comfortable stay.

Things Aren't Always as They Seem
The listing on this house says it is 1.2 miles from the center of Jasper, Arkansas. It turns out that the house is actually 15.2 miles south of Jasper. This was not convenient for us because we were concentrating our trip on the Jasper area and had planned to try out the restaurants there. The house itself is in a nice setting and cute in a 1950's nostalgic way. We had looked forward to eating supper in Jasper but settled for frozen pizza we bought at a Dollar General a few miles down the road. The problem with this house was that there were animals in the attic above the bedroom I slept in that thumped and scratched loudly off and on all during the night. It was so loud that I had to convince myself that it wasn't a person making the noise because there was no second floor above the room. I couldn't stand the thought of spending another night there so we packed up and checked out a day early. I contacted the owner and explained the circumstances. We contacted her again when we returned home and requested a refund for the second night. Her only response was that she had the attic checked out and only a harmless little squirrel was found, not the family of raccoons we suspected she would find. I did not think a refund of one night was unreasonable. I also contacted VRBO and after talking to one agent and then calling back in 2 weeks, I was told without audio evidence I could not get a refund. Needless to say I am disappointed with both VRBO and this host.
Ceilings in bedrooms and doorways were very sort (hit Mt over and over but otherwise a great view good location and amenities. Would recommend for a quiet getaway for 2-4 .
