During peak season, July 1 thru Labor Day, minimum stay is one week - Saturday to Saturday. Relax in a spacious, clean and inviting 1800+ square foot one-story ranch style home located well off the main road making for a quiet, enjoyable environment. Located directly across from Sand Island in North Broadalbin, NY, this lake front home offers full amenities on 2+ acres with 105' private beach. Sleeps 6-9. BEDROOM 1: 2 full beds, 1 twin bed, dresser, nightstands. BEDROOM 2: 1 full and 2 twin beds , closet, dresser. Clean, sterilized mattress pads/covers on all beds. Wireless high speed internet {WiFi}. Large eat-in kitchen fully equipped, i.e., blender, coffee maker, electric range/oven, microwave, dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, pots, pans, skillets, cooking and other utensils, etc., refrigerator/freezer, toaster, etc. Large, airy, nicely furnished family room with 40" smart television and cable service. Large bathroom with shower. Other amenities: portable air conditioners and fans, games/puzzles/cards, books, and beach toys. Large, grassy field for volleyball and bocce and other games. Outdoor chairs/tables/umbrellas throughout property and beach. Outdoor fireplace and beach fire pit with free wood. Outdoor grill with gas provided. Plenty of parking. Two oversized picnic tables. Vacuum cleaner/broom. Ironing board and iron available. Beach that recedes gradually with no drop-offs, making it safe and enjoyable for adults and kids alike. Perfect for jet skiing, kayaking and canoeing {not provided}, sunbathing, swimming, floating on a tube and water sports {not provided}. Free boat launch 4 minutes away. The great outdoors awaits you!
The Guest House Policies: ✦Outside smoking only. No burning of candles, incense or other materials inside. ✦Absolutely no pets are permitted by you, your co-tenants or guests. No exceptions. ✦All cooking oils and grease must be disposed of in the container provided under the kitchen sink. ✦ tissue must be septic tank approved. ✦Trash must be contained in white or clear bags [no black]. Place all recyclables in the marked containers. ✦Driveway from the road to the beach must be kept open and unobstructed at all times. No vehicles allowed on beach path or beach without permission. Only exception is for those who have difficulty walking ✦You are free to have guests, however, if you are planning to have more than a total of 10 people, you must first obtain permission. You are responsible for your guests. In the event of annoyance or disturbance, you and/or your guests will be asked to leave. ✦Minors under 18 are not permitted on beach for any reason without adult. ✦No throwing rocks, sand, sticks, stones, etc. ✦Do not go onto neighbors’ property for any reason. ✦No campers, trailers, motorized vehicles, golf carts, ATV’s, etc. allowed without permission. ✦No boats are to be parked near buildings. No gas cans near buildings or vehicles. *Wood stacked near outside fireplace is for your use. ✦Please vacuum all rooms and under furniture, put things back where you found them, wash dirty dishes, remove trash, etc. BEFORE YOU DEPART. If not, you will be charged a $350.00 cleaning fee and/or your security deposit will not be returned. Any damages will be appraised and you will be liable to replace/repair. ✦No subletting without permission. ✦✦ CANCELLATIONS ONLY WITH CAUSE, i.e. severe injury, illness, death, etc✦✦

Beautiful Beach

Enjoyed our two week stay. The beach was wonderful for a four year old. Location is excellent and easy to get to stores and restaurants. The owners were very helpful when needed.

Wonderful Lakefront Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Venditti's cabin. They were excellent hosts, and the private Lakefront beach was beautiful. They had everything we needed in the kitchen and outdoors, including such details as fire wood for the outdoor fire pit. Would absolutely consider staying here again if we find ourselves heading to the area again.

Sand Island fun house

The property was great and helped out because I had a large group coming up. While the group didn't stay with us we were allowed to have them come for the day and enjoy the lakefront and beach. Large property so we could have set up a volleyball net if I'd remembered to bring it. Also right across from Sand Island so the next day it was easy travel to the Island

Super nice hosts, Clean but basic property

We were disappointed to learn that there was no AC. A cross breeze was achieved with both end doors open but those doors were quite rickety and not lockable so we closed up daily and when we returned each evening, the house was hot and humid. Also lots of mosquitos and spiders got inside through those doors. New windows were great and plenty of space to sleep...except a few beds were very squeaky that woke us up every time someone tossed and turned. Plenty of hot water for showers and linen/towel rental convenient. Great beach access and sandy area with chairs!. In general very well kept property and great location. Hosts very nice and helpful (we asked to have under picnic tables mowed and it was done immediately!) Wifi access worked well. It is very evident owners continue to improve this property.

Great beach access probably the best on the lake! Beautiful sunset views and sandy beach. Property owners very attentive, accommodating and friendly! House is clean and set back off road with private area for fires and grilling. Kids enjoyed the large grass yard. Nice clean gas grill and firewood available. Will be back!

A Treasure on the Lake

When our vacation plans to Florida fell through because of COVID-19, we quickly found this place online. After a week there, it's hard to believe this wasn't our first choice. We absolutely loved staying at the guest house. The truly private beach is amazing, with stunning sunsets over the Adirondacks. Our kids swam all day and built sand castles, and they often played in the huge yard. We had campfires almost every night, went kayaking at a nearby lake, and one day drove out to Lake George. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Owners Mary Jo and Tony are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They made sure we had everything we needed and they take very good care of the property. They are also vigilant in regards to the coronavirus, and we greatly appreciated that (don't forget to bring linens, towels, pillows & blankets). This vacation was exactly what we needed. We wish we could have stayed longer!

All about the beach

I was Looking for a great beach. My family and I enjoyed the beach , it was big enough for us all. It’s a great beach for children and adults. It Has great sunsets. We enjoyed fires at the beach and at the camp. There’s lots of room for children to play. The camp is supplied with everything that you need.

Fun Family Friendly Lake House

Great summer cottage in beautiful, private, well manicured, huge yard -that runs from street all the way to lake. Lake was super clean. We brought our kayaks and SUP. Had a lot of fun. Fire pit on beach ended perfect days. Rooms in home are large (3 beds in each room with plenty of space). Days were hot and nights cool for us so fans/windows were perfect. Owners live in house next door, we spoke to them from a distance but due to the current times we all remained socially distant. Owner always working to keep property in tip top shape and guests happy. Was great stay. Highly recommended.

Perfect Spot

Mary Jo's rental was perfect for the whole family (and friends)! The BEST part was the private sandy beach. People boat all over Sacandaga in search of a place like this to hang out. The sand and water were great for playing and swimming. The water was shallow with a gradual slope so kids could swim easily. Lounge chairs with umbrellas helped us to relax in the shade. The sunsets were BEAUTIFUL . The house was clean, and had everything we needed to stay comfortably. Great outdoor seating with a grill. We enjoyed smores at night at the fire pit. Convenient location too with boat launch and a convenient store within a couple miles. Mary Jo and Tony were so sweet, and were very welcoming and attentive hosts. Thank you! We will stay again!

Peaceful getaway.

Clean rustic cottage with all the comforts of home. I was happy to have everything I needed to cook delicious meals, there were plenty of fans for those warm evenings and the lake with it’s expansive sandy beach was less than a 2 minute walk away. Sandy bottom and gradual depth. A great place to sun, read and swim all day. We were so captivated by the sunsets and starry nights we never turned the tv on . Mary Jo and Tony were very accommodating. We hope to rent again.

Great spot on the lake!

This cottage had a great spot on Lake Sacandaga. It had lots of room for our large family. The owners Tony and Mary Jo couldn’t have been any nicer, the only thing that I would suggest that would have improved our experience staying there, would have been air conditioning. Our first two days there, the temps were 90 plus degrees and it was brutal. Other than that, the cottage was very clean and close to the lake. Great spot for a family vaca on the lake.

Best spot on the lake!!

The cottage was super clean and Mary Jo and Tony make sure there is everything you need to enjoy a relaxing week at the lake - books, games for kids, fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of sleeping space. We were so happy with the lovely lake view, and the property is really convenient to some wonderful restaurants on the lake (fun to go to by boat - or car!), and close to grocery stores, etc. Perfect spot to watch the beautiful sunsets right over Sand Island too. Really can’t get better than the private beach area either - gentle walk out for easy swimming and plenty big enough for our family of 5, plus numerous family guests. Don’t even need to bring beach chairs - everything is already there waiting! Tony and Mary Jo were the BEST hosts.....we really enjoyed meeting them - they were full of great stories and we loved hearing about the history of their family home on the lake. Both were very helpful (especially Tony watching out for us on our first boat adventure in quite awhile!), always ready to lend a hand, but never intrusive. The very best people - you will leave feeling like family, as we did!
