The stays was nice but the house was in need of repairs

The location is awesome. However the house has item that I had to repair and also was not the cleanest of rentals I have had.

Peaceful getaway

The house was perfect for our 3 couple group. Quiet section/neighborhood since neighbors live there full time. I would suggest bringing your own additional bath towels depending on your length of stay since there isn’t a washer/dryer. 6 adults for 3 days, 8 bath towels were provided.

Nice river views

It was a cute little house, a little dated interior but still charming. Not issues during our stay. It was different having them text a link to the house info vs messaging on here the code and details of the property. I’m use to more family communication vs this was managed by a larger company (my guess).

This location is excellent. We paddle boarded up the river every morning and then floated down in the afternoon. If you have two cars - or a way to get back to your car - you can put it at the horseshoe and float all the way down to the property. During the week there's basically no one around. It's incredibly peaceful.Reading the other reviews it seems to depend on your personality if this is a 5-star property or not. It's clean enough, unless you start looking closely. We just bought paper plates, cups, cutlery, etc and enjoyed the location instead of stressing about how well cleaned everything was (or wasn't ).I'd honestly rent this property again for another week and just have proper expectations about towels, dishes, etc. It's totally worth an older home that hasn't been deep cleaned in a very long time for the location alone.

Decent place right next the river

Pros: Right next to the river, great access and views. Sufficient place for 5-6 people. Good value. Close to restaurants. Smart TV with streaming options. Cons: Patio deck not clean. House number not visible, very much tucked in. Downstairs room has no inside access, need to step outside the house. Tight living space. You don’t get the fresh pleasant feeling. Little dull and antique.

Disappointed

We came across some issues with the cleanliness of the home and reached out to the host. We were told someone would get back with us and it has been 2 weeks and still have not had anyone get back with us. There was mouse droppings and food in a kitchen drawer, spilled green juice in the bottom on the fridge, the coffee maker was disgusting and full of mold, there was candy on the floor in a room, mold and spider webs covering a corner of a wall, and the upstairs shower drained very slowly. And the outside sidewalk was covered in slime, we had to be very careful not to slip on it when going to the downstairs room. The fact that management still has not reached out even though we were extremely nice about the inconveniences, is very disheartening. We do not recommend anyone to stay here.

Perfect Location

We arrived and the view from the back porch was stunning, serene, and peaceful. We fished right from the start. Only caught a few, but people were on the river, and we get that. My teenagers had never been to Schlitterbahn, so quick 20 min drive. The wave river was a blast. We laughed from 11am-8pm when they closed. We ate at Elio's Italian. Wonderful meal! My kids can eat! Next was Tanger Outlet Mall and enjoyed all our finds. Cracker Barrell was wonderful! Stopped into Cabela's for more fishing gear. Fished more. Sat in the river. Just relaxed from our busy busy life. Went to Gruene. Looked, walked, enjoyed the breeze. Ate at The Gristmille. The frozen Sangrias were awesome. The Spicy Marg was more than awesome. The chumcherry sauce on my Gristmill porkchops were divine. Larry, the Manager, wrote the recipe for me. This location was within 20 mins of all our spots. House tiny, but we never turned on TV. Never sat in the living room. We were out and about and beds slept so good. This is exactly what we wanted and needed, and what the property provided. Highly recommend!
