Why pay $175 per day for one hotel room when you can lease this very well-maintained (non-smoking), 3bedroom, 2bath, home with central heat/air, nicely furnished, equipped kitchen, enclosed air-conditioned sunroom, enclosed garage with remote, on a large fenced-in yard with fruit trees, high speed Internet, and SMART TV included. Just right for a special family get-a-way or for that fishing trip.

This home is priced for the budget conscious and those who prefer the rustic charm of a rural community. Turn directly onto Anderson Street from US Hwy 27 S at Veterans Memorial, drive past the Grow Teaching Garden and the home is the second house on left. Quiet street with a large yard to park RV, truck, or boat. Security system. All utensils, bedding included. Washer & dryer. NO PETS PLEASE. Be sure to read the reviews.

This property was neat and clean, and just what we needed. We were visiting some friends and it was a mile away. Plenty of room for the 2 of us, plus a garage that we were able to use. The hosts were fabulous to deal with. We had no issues, and were pleased to have found something so convenient and affordable, that it made it easy to visit with our friends.

We stayed for a month at the Mango house. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, including an outdoor grill. The bedding was comfortable and plenty of linens were provided for our stay. The neighborhood gave us pause when we arrived, but the neighbors were friendly and we had no problems at all. The owners were incredibly responsive to our questions and really did go above and beyond.

Post Christmas Family Visit

The property was very clean and easily accessible. The property manager was great and very responsive! I would suggest bringing ear plugs if you sleep in the master bedroom because it is located in a more rural area and the neighbors have roosters. It is not far off of the main road and Lake Placid is only a few minutes down the road!

Comfortable in Lake Placid

Was close to monthly business travel at a reasonable price Property was clean and was a restful place at the end of the day when the heat index was abnormally high (100+). Had a garage for my vehicle which made it comfortable for the next time I ventured out which is not that common in the VRBO world.

Comfortable three bedroom nicely furnished

The house is exactly as advertised. We have a daughter living in the area (Sebring 25 miles) and normally stay at a hotel, however this trip all of the hotels in the area were considerably over priced $220 for a night. We were pleased to find this comfortable three bedroom nicely furnished house. The host was very pleasant and extremely helpful.

Comfy House in Lake Placid!

Very clean and comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Lake Placid! Our family of 7 definitely had plenty of room to unwind in the evenings. The owners and property manager were wonderful through the entire process! Would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget needing to stay in the area - take earplugs though if you don't want to be awakened by the roosters before sunrise! :)

Nice home, some loud neighbors

The home was great and everything worked well. As others have mentioned the roosters in the neighborhood made morning come early, but otherwise a great stay. Lake Placid downtown was really nice and they had a nice Christmas Parade downtown that we went and enjoyed. Being a northerner it was nice to be warm watching a Christmas parade. Winn Dixie is really close and there is a Publix close by as well if you need anything.

Great Winter Get-away

My husband and I spent January/February here. It was everything we expected. Very comfortable furnishings and everything you need is furnished from linens to pots and pans. Downtown Lake Placid is 1 mile from the house and there is every convenience you could want in town. There are numerous fishing lakes in the area and ample room on the property to part your boat/trailer. Both Erika, the property manager and the owners are just a call away and very attentive to any needs that come up. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Family owned property that is priced right and very well maintained with easy access to major roadway US Hwy 27 S. Close to Archbold Biological station, Seminole Brighton reservation casino, beautiful lakes, and close to all major attractions in Central Florida, without the expense. Two hours or less in any direction for short day trips for major cities (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Myers is only 68 miles away, Miami).

What makes this property unique

Perfect get-a-way for the adventurer. Rustic setting near fishing, close to a casino, away from it all but close to major highway, shopping, and sight-seeing. If you love nature, Archbold Biological Station is a short drive away. Henscratch Farm Winery is a few miles away.
