We have had a lovely week in Karen’s property. The Cave was spotless on arrival and contained everything you would need and more. Really lovely decor, comfy beds and good air con. Small swimming pool well kept and sun-loungers when we needed them, all in all great property to rent in the region. 5 minute walk into the quiet village, a couple of restaurants and bars. We expected the surrounding villages to be slightly busier especially Orlargue which seemed to be dead when we visited with one bar. The L’Orb river is beautiful and worth planning a few lazy days by its side. The Roquebrun Canoe hire and trips are also brilliant and definitely worth doing for some fun and excitement. We took our own candies but didn’t use them as they wouldn’t of coped with the rapids and rocks. All in all, beautiful quiet region and worth a visit.
Lots of little extras made our stay so enjoyable. Welcome pack on arrival, full soap dispensers at every sink / washbasin, plenty of towels, crockery and utensils.
The house has been renovated very tastefully with modern fittings and furniture, but keeping some original features. We found it had everything we needed, including a winery across the road. The air conditioning was also very welcome and we appreciated the shade of the sail over the patio.
The owner had arranged for the housekeeper to contact us before arrival and give us her contact details if there was anything we needed, so we felt looked after. The pool was cleaned during our stay and everyone was very friendly.
The town itself has a fantastic ice cream shop / bakery and a few restaurants and is ideal if you like messing about on the river.

Quiet get-away
We came out of season, so not much of the village was open (and what was, somewhat irregularly), but it was no great inconvenience and meant we had the very peaceful break we were hoping for. A lovely home with everything we needed, a good welcome, and beautiful scenery all around to enjoy on foot or by car.

Great appartment!
This is a great appartment, with plenty of space, great parking in side the courtyard and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Well equiped kitchen, comfortable couch and spacious bedrooms. Every thing was just as indicated, only surprise was the appartment is more spacious than photo's appeared on website.
I recommend this to anyone traveling in this area with a car.

A really nice conversion of an old building. Loved the use of the old press for the dining table.
Situated in a nice location in Roquebrun. We had a quiet , relaxing holiday at the apartment. It was clean, tidy and nicely equipped. The pool area is well kept and the couple of issues we had were quickly and effectively dealt with by the management team. We would recommend a holiday in Roquebrun for all the area has to offer, and we would definitely rent this property again.

Peaceful times in Roquebrun
This is a charming property loaded with character. From the rotating round table to the interior stone walls, comfortable beds and the peaceful small town. We were in Roquebrun at the very end of the season, so we had quiet days of sightseeing - and so much to see within one hour's drive... amazing. I'd highly recommend this property for two couples or a family.

Charming apartment, in a quiet village
This is a really nice apartment in an old stone building. The renovation has a modern feel, but it respects and showcases the history of the structure. It's a great spot for 2 couples, or a family. We found so much to see and do within an hours drive. Good spot for walking, hiking, wine tasting, painting.

Magical village. Wonderful accommodations. House had everything we could possibly need. Owner was available via phone, text, etc. Immediate response to all questions/needs! Gave wonderful recommendations of restaurants, day trips, and things to do in village. Will return as often.

About the host
Hosted by Karen Jungjohann
We are a family of four who live in Toronto where our children attended French Immersion. Their knowledge of French and our love of the French cuisine, wine, and unspoiled countryside inspired us to look for opportunities to travel in France. We were introduced to the Occitanie region (then known as Languedoc-Roussilon) in 2010 by an old friend in the wine business. We found the area to be the perfect combination of cuisine, culture, outdoor activity, and opportunities to explore and relax, so we fulfilled the dream of owning a property in France and are thrilled to be able to share it and this wonderful region with our guests.
Why they chose this property
After renting vacation properties in Roquebrun for years, we decided that we wanted to have our very own piece of this unique town. This stone house is the perfect opportunity for us to create an property that has an ideal combination of historical features and modern amenities - just like the town in which it is situated.
What makes this property unique
The unique features of this newly renovated space offer a beautiful combination of the rustic and the modern. From the modern kitchen and baths, to the exposed stone features throughout the space, this space will be inviting to all that enjoy the balance between rich character and modern amenities.
