The property and house were prefect for a group gate-away! The house was clean, comfortable, well decorated and well maintained. The tavern and outdoor area was a bonus. The host was very responsive and made the check-in and check-out process easy!
Paul and Dale are great hosts and their home is gorgeous! Highly recommend, especially to those with events at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park.

Thank you, Shelia!! We hope you had a fabulous wedding weekend. The weather was beautiful and Eolia is a gorgeous venue! It's lovely guests like yourselves that make us love to share The Historic Granite House with others. 💖
We got married over at the Eoikia Mansion, stayed here with our bridal party. We were extremely happy with the Granite House!
The house had plenty of room for the party and we were able to get ready at there before the big day. The patio is also beautiful, and a great spot for breakfast and coffee!

Dale was an amazing host! Kind, caring, and communicative. The house was even more beautiful in person than in the photos, both inside and out. The tavern was also the perfect place to relax and chill in. The house had plenty of space, great bathrooms, and a cute den to enjoy your morning coffee & breakfast. My friends and I had the best time! Would highly recommend, 10/10
This place is amazing! My husband and I were recently married at Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park. The property owner, Dale, is very responsive. We had everything we needed to host some friends and family. The tavern in the back is great for entertaining. Plenty of parking. Easy check-in/out. Highly recommend!
Highly recommend the Granite House to anyone looking for first class amenities, property and service. Hosts are easy to communicate with and take pride in their amazing investment. The craftsmanship and details are one of a kind. Spotless interior and exterior, incredible accommodations. Don’t think twice
The Granite House was the perfect addition to our wedding weekend! Dale was an amazing host who was responsive and beyond helpful. We were able to host an intimate rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding at the Branford House. The bride and her bridal party spent the night here and spent the next day getting ready in the beautiful sun porch which look’s incredible in our pictures. We are looking forward to renting the Granite House for years to come, it’s now apart of our story!
From the moment we began speaking with Dale, we knew we were in for an amazing experience! Dale was friendly, communicative when needed, and we LOVED learning the history of the amazing home we were staying in. We booked the Granite House for our wedding weekend for us and the wedding party to stay in, and it was perfect. The fire pit was amazing for the cool nights too! On the wedding day, the gentlemen got ready and took photos in the tavern and the ladies made full use of the house. The bridal suite in the primary bedroom was perfect for me to hang my dress when we arrived on Wednesday and keep it hidden until the wedding day on Saturday. We just really can’t recommend this property enough. It was far beyond our hopes and absolutely MADE our wedding weekend complete!
Comfort & Classic style home. Perfect complement to our wedding at Harkness. Tavern , firepit & patio was the ideal relaxed gathering center for conversation and photos. Will definitely consider for future events.
Our family stayed at the Granite House when celebrating a wedding at nearby Eolia Mansion. This historic home is spotless, elegantly decorated, and meticulously updated. The house and grounds are spacious and welcoming for additional friends to gather. Dale was quick to respond to any questions we had. We are so happy we chose the Granite House!
Beautiful property! Historic house with gorgeous grounds. There was a tavern on property with a beautiful patio. Large bedrooms and rooms throughout. We had an amazing time! Great for a large family/group getaway. Little attic on third floor was great for kids!
We had an amazing stay the Granite House! Gorgeous inside and out with all the amenities you could need. The tavern was a great place for our group of 11 to hangout and the bonfire pit was an added bonus. We enjoyed dinner outside and breakfast the next morning at the large dining room table. We were able to Uber to Foxwoods without a problem. Definitely recommend!
The granite house is lovely and the adjacent Tavern and outdoor spaces are fantastic. Made a great fire in the huge fire pit area and enjoyed the nearby fireworks. The tavern space was great but hardly used as we were out at Mystic and other spots in the area. One small issue was the bathroom setup. The third bath is on the main level and was the go to shower spot for four of us. The shower is amazing so it was worth the small hassle.

Hi Vincent! We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the Historic Granite House. Thanks for leaving the house in tip-top shape. Mystic and the surrounding shoreline towns offer great sightseeing & restaurants! Hope you'll visit again one day!
To avoid confusion with potential guests, the 2nd floor where 3 bedrooms are located also has 2 full bathrooms. The full bathroom on the 1st floor has a shower with many bells & whistles! 😊
Beautiful property with amazing amenities - perfect for a group of 12 to spend the night and enjoy the sights in the area. Just a couple minutes from grocery stories, and only a few more from lovely beaches and restaurants. Paul was very communicative and gave us all the information we needed for our stay.
We loved the Granite House! The house was impeccable, and the tavern and grounds made it a complete package. Great getaway for the weekend! Paul met us, showed us around and made sure we were all set. Fantastic experience!

Great guest! Very respectful and a very nice group of people.
Perfect place to get together with friends from Boston and New York
The pictures do not do it justice! The Granite House was beautiful. Paul and Dale have thought of every detail to make your time special. Absolutely loved the tavern, large fire pit, and huge table for outdoor eating. Would definitely come back! Paul was also very easy to communicate with and we appreciate the early check-in and late departure!
The home is beautiful and spacious. The outdoor area is also great for a bbq and meal with friends and sitting by the fire pit.
Highly recommend and hope to be back!
This was one of those stays where the reality outpaced the expectations. The photos don't do the property justice. The attention to detail throughout is magnificent. Paul and Dale were amazing hosts, and made sure we had all the information that we needed. We look forward to our return trip!

Family Reunion at the Granite House
The Granite House is over the top! From the first impression until driving away everything is perfect. Paul and Dale have done a beautiful job restoring the property and everything is immaculate. Our family couldn't have been happier or more impressed. We had an outdoor Clambake on Saturday night and a fire in the outdoor fire pit. Perfect! Looking forward to returning soon.
