A Historic Place to Stay for Your Historic Days. Gracious Granite Home + Tavern

Behind our doors awaits a one of a kind experience for your special event or gathering. Whether you are getting married at one of the gorgeous venues in the area, would like to host an intimate social gathering on site, or need to rent a space to gather people from various locations, the Historic Granite House is here to accommodate. This property is available for rentals up to a maximum of one week for 12 overnight guests and 24 seated dinner guests. We have ample parking for a total maximum of 30 guests on the property.
We do not offer longer term rentals.

Originally built in 1877, the Granite House is a private house set on 8.5 acres of grandeur in the historic Jordan Village portion of Waterford, Connecticut. The house boasts three bedrooms, loft, three bathrooms, along with a gourmet kitchen and formal dining room. Aside from the main house sits the property's very own Barn-Tavern with comfortable seating.
The property can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Why they chose this property

Historic property in village setting just 2 miles from beaches. The main house is built of huge granite blocks, boasts period antiques and up to date utilities making this a great place to stay.
The Barn/Tavern is made of wood milled from the property and has a 1920s antique copper topped bar. Beautiful gardens and 3 patios makes this property suitable for great social events.

What makes this property unique

Gracious, fully restored granite house set on 8.5 acres with two driveways and plenty of parking. Wonderful barn-tavern constructed of wood from the property. 3 patios and a huge fire pit look over scenic views and flower gardens. A very wonderful setting for great family occasions.
