NEW cozy cottage a short walk to Northport and Lake Michigan!
Newly renovated and brand-new to VRBO, we cannot wait to host you! Listed just in time for summer, relax at our cozy cottage, just a short stroll to the beach and downtown Northport. Enjoy your own peaceful up-north getaway on the tip of gorgeous Leelanau Peninsula - have a glass of wine and fire up the grill on the private patio, snuggle up next to the fireplace, and wake up early to catch a sunrise at the local beach, just a few minute walk away. Spend your days exploring downtown Northport, climbing the nearby lighthouse, rock hunting at Peterson Park, and stopping at fantastic wineries and cideries along the way. Our cottage will be your perfect home base to adventure from and seek warm refuge in. WINTER NOTE: We will make sure to have the parking spot and pathway to the door shoveled for your arrival. After your arrival you are responsible (but not obligated) to shovel the small pathway to the car with the on-site shovel. We recommend a 4WD or AWD car as Northport plow times can vary. That said, the road servicing the cottage does get plowed, so it should be manageable. Please message with any questions!

It was a wonderful property, surrounded by like cottages, otherwise secluded. It was a great place for us newlyweds. We highly recommend to anyone hoping to enjoy the Northport and Traverse City area, with a quiet intimate place to stay. The Host was very accommodating and understanding even when I was mistaken about my check out time, and would recommend him highly.
Wonderful! Taylor was a kind and thoughtful host. The cottage is perfectly located, cozy, and quiet. The walk to Northport on South Shore is beautiful with views of the lake and wildflowers all along. (We also saw deer, bunnies, and frogs on the two track path.) The cottage was clean, bright, comfortable, and the deck in front was beautifully landscaped and an excellent place to wind down after a day at the beach. Christmas Cove beach was a short 10min drive as was Green Bird, our favorite winery. Walking to Northport from the cottage for pizza, playground, ice cream, grocery, was a breeze! Thank you, Taylor!
The cottage was perfect for my young adult daughter and I to have an end of summer getaway in one of our favorite places. Taylor responded quickly to a message the first night we were there. The front porch was a lovely place to eat our meals, read, and enjoy a fire. The landscaping adds to the beauty.
This is a lovely small cabin in an ideal location, close to the Lake and to town. The cabin is perfect and super clean, tasteful, and all amenities are available (in the kitchen, the bathroom...) - everything you might need on a short getaway is there, and there are some very thoughtful details. The hosts are friendly and professional. We had a wonderful time. The fire pit is amazing. Thank you!

This was a great little cottage (tiny home) just a few minutes away from restaurants and shops downtown and only 10ish minutes from Christmas Cove beach. It's around 20 minutes from Sutton's Bay in one direction and Leland in another, and it's very close to Leelanau State Park as well. We stayed as a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 kid) and had enough room for our needs. The cottage was clean, the fold-out sofa was comfortable for our kid, checkin and checkout was easy, the laundry room (washer/dryer combo) was very helpful for post-beach cleanup, and a small A/C unit was a nice bonus (although it struggled to help much in the big heatwave the area experienced while we were there). The only recommendation I have is for more towels in the bathroom and possibly 1 additional chair for the kitchen table to accommodate a 3rd person. Regardless of those details, I highly recommend this cottage for anyone staying in the Northport area.
Born and raised in Traverse City, I live in Leelanau County and love all the hidden gems inside of it. Now, as a realtor and photographer, I am always exploring the area and never get tired of it! When the Evergreen cottage was listed, I jumped at the opportunity to realize my dream of becoming a host and helping to share this beautiful part of the country.
Why they chose this property
Northport is the perfect retreat from bustling Traverse City. It is just a short trip away on the world-famous M22 route. I love the local events, fun restaurants, small-town feel, and beautiful local beach and marina.
