The location was perfect, and the house and lake were wonderful. Great hiking nearby and we enjoyed time on the water. A great house for two families to stay.

Beautiful home and very well stocked. We enjoyed the paddleboards, renting a boat, and really enjoyed the High Falls hike that's close by. Thank you for a great vacation!

Everything was great. It was an arduous trek to the lake. My parents were supposed to come, but cancelled last minute. Thank goodness because they would not have been able to walk up and back from the lake. But we had a great time.

Hi Jodi, thank you for the positive review and honest feedback. We do try to convey in the pictures the full extent of the walk from the home to the dock, but it can be tricky to capture, so we appreciate when guests share their experience and provide further perspective! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay either way.

Overall, the property was beautiful and well-maintained. House was clean and perfect for our girl’s trip. Great kitchen and lots of space. We did run out of things such as dish soap, laundry pads, and toilet paper midway through. It would’ve been great to see a bigger supply of that particularly since 8 guests were staying. Also, the hill from the dock to the house is EXTREMELY steep, and I wish that that was noted more explicitly in the description. One of our friends who had a bad knee was unable to go up and down the walkway and unfortunately did not get to access the dock.

Thank you Meagan for your detailed review. We appreciate the feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the property overall. We do have the path from the dock to the house photographed extensively in the listing, but we will make sure to update the property description to better highlight the steep incline that may pose an accessibility challenge. Additionally, we will highlight the section that explains the "starter" supplies that we provide as a company for each house, to ensure guests are aware of what they are expected to bring or purchase for themselves. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we hope to host you again if you decide to visit in the future!

This is a very nice property for family/friend gatherings. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Plenty of cooking utensils and place settings. Though a few more wine glasses would be a plus. The living room is comfortable and suitable for visiting and watching television. However, it is a difficult property for old people and old dogs. The entry from the parking lot is down a flight of steps with a greater stepdown for the first step than the remaining steps. The stairs to the MBR are carpeted and railed, but they are still up. The stairs to the bottom floor are carpeted and railed but steep. Access to the lake is via a very steep paved path or steps. Though the steps have switchbacks which provide some relief, they are still steep and slippery when wet. All this is disclosed in the property description and the photos, but the experience was more difficult than expected. We did not have cell service at the property, in Cashiers, or in Highlands. That was both a blessing and a curse. It was nice to have the privacy but staying in touch with members of our group who were making excursions away from the property was not possible.Nonetheless, this is a great property for young adults and their children and young dogs. The lake, the dock, and the watercraft are great amenities. There is plenty of room and activities to do in the house. The Lake Glenville/Cashiers/Highlands area is beautiful and offers unlimited trails, waterfalls and parks to explore.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful and honest review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience in such detail. You're absolutely right about the property's layout—the stairs and elevation changes are best suited for guests with good mobility. We're glad the disclosure helped set expectations, and we'll keep your feedback in mind for future guests with similar concerns. We completely understand the cell service challenge! It's definitely a double-edged sword in this remote mountain setting. We recommend guests contact us directly before arrival so we can provide workarounds and local information. We're thrilled you enjoyed the kitchen, living spaces, and our lake amenities. Your kind words about the area mean a lot—it truly is a special destination. Thank you for being wonderful guests, and we'd love to welcome you back!
