Great place to stay for 2 couple’s.

The grounds were well kept, the accommodations were also well Maintained. Everything we needed was there for use. The pool was clean and refreshing and it was a a very short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Great set up for cooking, everything you need is provided. Awesome location!!I would like to suggest a little binder of what’s what for the area, general info for the property.The actual unit could use a bit of an update, lanai (porch) is awesome and private. Would most definitely come again!! Mahalo!!

Our stay was wonderful! The condo is older and not luxury, but is lovely and well appointed, in a perfect location a block from a beautiful long white sand beach and easy to get to. It is very private and quiet, with no road noise or bustling traffic.

Clean place - great loaction

100 yards to the beach, large clean place. Small complaint, the mattress in bedroom sags a little in middle and outside light shines through window too bright. Overall, nice place, great location, clean grounds.

Perfect condo for beach vacation

My sister and I stayed at the condo for a week and it was perfect for our needs. The condo is very spacious, with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a well sized kitchen. The outdoor patio was wonderful to use in the evenings. We also enjoyed the beach chairs. Maui is truly a beautiful island, and staying at this condo was the icing on the cake for our trip.

Perfect vacation spot

This place was amazing! We stayed for 2 weeks and already have it booked for next year. It’s tucked back off the busy road and is a quiet. The pool is so great and we swam everyday. The lawn is perfectly kept, the flowers are beautiful and the birds love to drink from the water fountain. Great beach access and just a short walk to see turtles. We had 2 couples staying here and the condo was just perfect for us. Can’t wait for our next trip back!

Third year in a row

We love this place. We love it so much that this is our third consecutive year staying here. It’s is such a sweet find and a perfect spot for all your Maui adventures. Being able to walk across the street and have access to miles of beach is the best. The grounds and pool are very well taken care of and absolutely beautiful. We also love how quiet the complex is. We’ll definitely be back!

Family Vacation

Property is older but well kept and clean. This unit is very well stocked. The lanai is nice to sit outside and eat or relax. Parking is a bit tight wouldn’t want a big SUV. The beach is right across the road and enjoyable, and beautiful sunsets to watch. The pool area is very nice, being only 10 units there was no crowds to try and get a lounge chair. Would stay here again.

Perfect Home Base

This location was perfect for our Mele Kalikimaka vacation! The wife and I brought my parents on a Maui vacation during Christmas, and we had a wonderful time! This condo was easy to find and simple to check into, which was helpful because we finally arrived after a late flight at 11pm. Our host was extremely communicative before we arrived too. We made friends with a couple cute geckos that loved the lanai just as much as we did. An ideal place to enjoy a dinner together. The barbecues were a good amenity for those too. The landscaping is very well maintained and was a very quiet area. Having such a short walk to the beach was very convenient. We had always stayed in Kaanapali, but after staying in Kihei and experiencing much of what it has to offer, Kaanapali feels a little overrated. This was much more our speed, and we felt very at home during our stay. Would highly recommend to any couples traveling together.

Great for traveling with teenagers

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The condo is the largest in a small complex that surround the pool. We always had the pool to ourselves, at max there were 3 other condo's being used during our stay. Having the lanai was great, we sat out there every morning for coffee and at night after dinner. My husband and I were traveling with our 14 year old son and his friend and the condo was ideal for this. We wanted them to have their own bedroom and bathroom and this was one of the few condos I found that didn’t break the bank for those amenities. The kitchen is remodeled and very well stocked. We made a lot of breakfasts at home and grilled a few times. The back bedroom and bathroom is the master and could use some updating, but it was comfortable. The only issue we had was the shower drains were running very slowly, but the island host was on it immediately and my husband ended up becoming friends with the plumber and gave him the fish from his fishing trip when we left. I had never stayed in Kihei before and really liked it. It is dryer than the rest of the island so be prepared for that, but the people are all super nice and it's a bit less crowded than other areas. Parking is free in town and there are lots of great restaurants and fun bars. We had a blast and I would definitely stay here again.

Close to Beach

Best thing about this place is the proximity to the beach! It is perfect for two couples and suited our needs. Parking is a bit tight, there are ten units and only 8-9 spots. We were there for a wedding and had rented a Tahoe to be able to help transport wedding guests. It was difficult fitting that big of a vehicle in the parking at the condo, this is of no fault of the owners but just good advice to future vacationers to know. On google maps it seems like there’s a whole parking lot next to the building but that’s actually for the complex nextdoor and there is no access to it. The only complaint we had is that the dishes were dirty. Like lipstick stains on the glasses and stuck food on the bowls. We hand washed everything before using it. We ended up just buying paper plates, bowls, plastic silverware and plastic cups, kind of defeating the purpose of renting a place with kitchen utensils and creating more garbage than necessary. The couch cushions were also dingy/dirty and could use a really good deep clean or replacing, besides that everything else was very clean. The beds were clean and comfy so that’s most important! The complex itself was quiet and the pool area was almost always empty which was really nice. The sunsets on the beach were gorgeous and it was a highlight to be able to just walk less than five minutes to watch the sunset! We would stay again for the price point and close proximity to the beach but would make sure to rent a smaller vehicle next time!

A peaceful nourishing vacation

We had a wonderful vacation here. Everything was exactly as described. We went the first two weeks of September which turned out to be very hot, in the 90's every day and windy. We heard the Kihei is a particularly windy area. We were grateful for the AC and for the wind protected pool. While we were there, a family of 6 chicks was born. It was delightful to see the whole family, hen, rooster and chicks all scooting around on the greener than green grass in the backyard. The rooster may have been understandably a bit more active than usual. We enjoyed hearing him crow. All in all, a peaceful, nourishing vacation.

Good place but tv too small and far, should have been closer bec it’s too small. And room temp you can not change, set for 70degrees. It gets too hot sometimes, want it lower than 70. And maybe some air freshener, the room smells like old wet towel or something? Maybe from previous guests. By overall not a bad place to stay for first timers.

Why they chose this property

The property is located at the end of a cul-de-sac within 125 steps to the beach. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing, the courtyard is beautifully maintained and the pool is always inviting.

We fell in love with Maui a jewel in the heart of the Pacific Ocean. We love the diversity of the island from the pristine beaches to the lush waterfalls of Hana. As a result we purchased a condo at Wailana Sands. South Maui offers every type of activity from snorkeling, whale watching, golfing, dining, and relaxing your days away.

What makes this property unique

Our courtyard is an oasis featuring beautifully maintained tropic plants. Poolside is a great spot to sit and visit with the other guests. Our spacious lanai is wonderful for relaxing at any time of the day. Guests often gather at 'happy hour' to discuss their activities for the day. It's a great time to get ideas and suggestions.
