Discover your personal haven at our secluded cabin, perfectly situated on the shores of Lake Superior! This hidden gem offers the ultimate escape for those seeking privacy, space, and a connection with the outdoors.
As you approach the cabin, you’ll be greeted by the soothing sounds of the lake. This cabin boasts a spacious open floor plan, featuring large windows that provide stunning views of the lake and the landscape. The living area is perfect for relaxation, complete with a cozy stone fireplace that sets the mood for peaceful evenings.
With two bedrooms on the man floor and a open loft, the cabin comfortably accommodates up to six guests. You'll find 2 bathrooms on the main floor and a full bath in the loft. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy at the dining table or on the expansive deck, where you can take in the breathtaking sunsets over the water. The basement is unfinished, and we ask guests not to use that space. We also have a picnic table near the beach.
The cabin provides direct access to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Superior. Spend your days skiing, relaxing on the beach, or exploring the nearby trails. We are close to Sugarloaf Nature Center and many State Parks. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for stargazing and storytelling under the night sky.

Would definitely recommend! This cabin is so charming, cozy and exactly as advertised plus more. The diffusers smelled so amazing and the flameless candles were just a couple of the above and beyond's that made our stay so great! My kids loved the bathtub and my husband loved the crackling of the fireplace! I hope to come back in the summer so we can enjoy the beach and outdoor fire! Book your stay, what are you waiting for?!

Beautiful Cabin

This cabin is in an amazing location right on Lake Superior. The cabin is newly constructed and very nice. The owners are very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. It still a bit of a work in progress, but that didn't take away from our experience.

Log Cabin on the water at Schroeder Shores

This log home was the perfect retreat for our fall getaway. It is situated in a quiet and private location on the water. We enjoyed evenings by the fire and mornings on the deck overlooking Lake Superior. It was thoughtfully decorated and offered many kind and generous touches. We agreed we would come back to this location again.

Cozy place for an expansive view

This is a lovely place for a lake-side getaway with friends or family! Just like the photos show, this cabin has a lot of quality amenities (beautiful fireplace, fire pit w/ comfy chairs, large deck, screened in porch, plenty of bathrooms, amazing lake views, etc.) Semira & Casey were available and very responsive to any questions we had. We felt very welcome and cared for and would absolutely home here again, especially since this cabin has a basement area that is still being built out -- making an already lovely place even more magical.

Perfection

We were looking for a getaway to enjoy the north shore and Lake Superior. Schroeder Shores was absolutely perfect. The views of Lake Superior, from anywhere in the home, were spectacular! The screened in porch was such a peaceful spot to read a book or just sit and enjoy the lake without being bugged by mosquitos. The house had everything we needed and more. Plenty of toilet paper (which is not always the case), high quality soaps, shampoos, etc. The bedding was very comfortable. We took day trips to Grand Marais & Two Harbors. Caribou Falls was a short 1/2 mile hike just a 2 minute drive from the home. Temperance Trading & Schroeder Baking Company were both just a few minutes away and both were great. Semira was very communicative and made us feel so welcome. We will definitely stay again, hopefully many times!

We live in the south metro and have always had a love for the North Shore. It took us 3 years to find the perfect place to build our dream cabin. Here she is, Schroeder Shores! With kids sports and the hustle and bustle of everyday life we are not able to use it at times so we have just recently decided to share it with others who have a love for the Shore.

Why they chose this property

We love our spot, it's perfect! We ski in the winter at Lutsen and in the summer we enjoy many State Parks, the Caribou Falls swimming hole, which is just a 5 minute drive, and the Duluth Superior Hiking Trail. Walking to the Sugarloaf Nature Center from our beach is something we love doing too, in all seasons! When we want to go out for dinner Blue Fin Grille is just a 10 minute drive up 61.

What makes this property unique

We are set on a 3.5 acre parcel with a private beach and amazing sunsets. Recently built, our log home is in superb condition with modern yet rustic décor and finishes. Each room has its own thermostat and is heated with Warm Board in floor heat. You won't be warm in the summer with the cool breeze off the lake so no A/C was installed, there just isn't a need for it. Sleeping with the windows open listening to the waves is our favorite thing about the cabin.

We are not right on Highway 61 which you'll appreciate. You'll drive in about 1/2 mile down our dirt road to access the property.
