Evenings settle in gently here, with clear night skies, soft forest sounds, and the comfort of being tucked away among the pines.
The Space
Amber Woods is a newly renovated cabin set deep within the trees, offering a peaceful retreat with high ceilings and expansive views from the great room. The open living and dining area feels both spacious and cozy, anchored by an indoor wood stove and swing seating that makes it easy to linger over conversation, a good book, or a favorite movie on the TV. Large windows bring the surrounding forest indoors, making every season part of the experience.
Sleeping Arrangements
The cabin comfortably accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms. One bedroom features a king bed, while the second offers a queen bed, both dressed with bed linens and supported by extra pillows and blankets to keep nights restful. A full bathroom with a bathtub and hot water serves the space.
Kitchen & Everyday Comforts
The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals during your stay, whether you’re cooking a hearty breakfast before heading out or settling in for a quiet dinner back at the cabin. Heating keeps the space comfortable throughout, and WiFi supports streaming, remote work, or staying connected when needed. A dedicated workspace makes it easy to balance work and rest.
Outdoor Living
Step outside onto the deck or covered porch to take in the wooded surroundings. A BBQ grill and backyard space provide room to enjoy the fresh air, while the hot tub is an inviting way to relax after a day exploring the area, no matter the season.
Family & Pet-Friendly Stay
Amber Woods is pet-friendly and thoughtfully set up for families, with children’s books, toys, and dinnerware available. The home’s private entrance and self check-in via lockbox make arrivals simple and stress-free.
Neighborhood & Nearby Attractions
Located within The Woods Resort, the cabin sits in a private community known for its golf course, spa, restaurant, and miles of walking and hiking trails. A short drive brings you to Berkeley Springs and Cacapon State Park, where scenic trails, natural beauty, and local charm define the area year-round. From quiet forest walks to cozy evenings back at the cabin, the setting offers a balance of seclusion and easy access to local highlights.
Whether you spend your days exploring the West Virginia mountains or staying in to enjoy the calm of the woods, Amber Woods offers a comfortable, grounding place to settle in and reconnect with nature.
Note
Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but due to the natural setting, you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or similar—especially during certain seasons. We appreciate your understanding as nature tends to leave its mark, no matter how often we tidy up!
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly! Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).

Thanks again for staying with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime. :)
Checkin was easy, however upon checking around 7pm the sink pipe was frozen and water was unavailable. The hot tub was also cloudy and foaming, which indicates a chemical imbalance or dirty water (I’m inclined to believe chemical imbalance in This case). I alerted the property manager, and I was told a handyman would come the following day - no one came. I spent the 2 night stay with no kitchen water- luckily it was just me so I was able to manage. Upon checkout the manager did offer a partial refund. Which I thought was appropriate. The cabin was cute and generally clean. The carpet in the living room has a dog urine smell and the house could use a more thorough cleaning because of the dog hair. It kept sticking to my clothes and ended up on everything I brought in with me.Overall, cabin is very nice and ideal for a couple. Would stay again.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
