Very much enjoyed our stay in Burnsville. The mountain cabin was just as described and was a great get-away from hustle and bustle of daily lives. The place was spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and was clean and neat with things pretty well organized. The kitchen was well equipped and made for easy meal prep and cleanup. Even though suggested to bring many of our own supplies, there were ample supplies there if needed or if you forgot something. The back porch and fire pit was a great place to sit, enjoy the scenery and relax at the end of the day. Our host was excellent from the start with clear directions for check in and quick to respond as questions arose during our stay. All in all the Burnsville mountain cabin was terrific and would definitely come back if needing future retreat in that area!

We stayed 2 years ago Property was cleaner at that time. House and setting is beautiful. Had a few hiccups while staying but we got those addressed. Smooth communication with property owner.We will definitely stay here again. Could use a few sauce pans and serving bowls. Make sure to take plenty of bottled water.

This cabin has a beautiful view over a rocky creek. We could hear the water rushing all the time and it was nice sitting on the porch with coffee and watching it. The metal roof made it feel very cozy when it rained. The main living room and kitchen are beautifully renovated and we were able to stream sports and movies with no trouble. It was quiet and secluded and we had a relaxing weekend here.

Great Location

I've stayed here twice now. It has a perfect view of Cattail Creek and easy access to walks and serious hikes. On the other hand, it is not a luxury resort. I look forward to staying again.

Great place for a family get together

We had a fun and relaxing time at the cabin while escaping the awful heat back home. Great place for all ages. A hike to MtMitchell, jumping rocks in the creek, s’mores over the fire, lots of games, reading on the back porch rockers, and sketching the view of the creek.

Beautiful NC mountain cabin

Great location. Secluded and private but not far away from Asheville if you choose to visit town. Scenic road will take you to this hidden gem. Recommended.

Beautiful location!

From start to finish, this trip was a pleasure. Great communication with the property manager, great directions, gorgeous location. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We will recommend this cabin to our friends. The porch might have been the best part!

Great Cabin

Great cabin in the mountains with a small waterfall right below the covered deck. Large living room and kitchen (which had just been remodeled). This was our 2nd time here and we probably come back next year.

Needed retreat

This stay was wonderful. It was the perfect place for me and my senior, best friend, dog. We have a wonderful, restful, quiet, peaceful time. Listening and watching to the creek ramble over the rocks below, while having coffee and reading on the deck was fabulous! We hope to come back again soon.

Perfect family reunion

Roomy living room/kitchen combo and cozy den, each with a fireplace. Stunning location with a view and sounds of the creek from the deck. S’mores at the firepit, rock hopping on the creek, hiking “the little loop”, trips to Asheville and Burnsville.

Great cabin for spending quality time with loved ones. Layout is perfect for it. Just what my family needed to recharge our batteries. The host provides a lot of helpful information beforehand, and I particularly enjoyed the various suggestions or tips posted throughout the cabin. Rather thoughtful.We'll definitely be back one day.
