Julie was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and homey-looking. We did not take advantage of the hot tub or outdoor bbq, but both looked nice. It truly is very quiet and peaceful there. We enjoyed stargazing, which isn’t possible back home. We would recommend approaching the property the first time by daylight, if possible. Julie sent very helpful (and spot on accurate) directions, but if you’re not familiar with mountain roads you’ll appreciate driving the route in daylight first, to get the feel of it. We appreciated the easy proximity to the places we wanted to visit—Celo, Spruce Pine, and Burnsville. The kitchen was well-laid out, with plenty of counter space, and enough room for the two of us to cook together. We were pleased with our stay there.
The cabin was very cozy and clean, Julie went above and beyond for us. Our original booking was through the previous owner. She made special accommodations to allow us to keep our booking date. The outdoor space was a favorite part of the property and we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Great cabin and location and great host!
