We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, very clean, and has a fantastic pool. There's a shallow area with gentle steps on one side which was especially great for our daughter who can’t swim yet. The hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responded very quickly. We also really liked the resident cat - friendly without being intrusive :) Highly recommended!

Lovely house with everything you need

We had a great stay! The house was very well stocked, especially the kitchen. There where lots of pillows and blankets. They even had brand new yoga mats, a coolbox or beach umbrellas just to name a few things... It's the little details that matters. We instantly felt "at home" during our 2 week stay.

We have just returned home after 10 days in this fantastic villa and we're already ready to go back! The inside is decorated charmingly and the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything you need. But its outside that the villa comes into its own. Fabulous pool which the children hardly left, comfortable sun loungers and some much needed shade provided by an umbrella. Fantastic outdoor kitchen for BBQ's and a cosy seating area for evening card games and relaxing in the shade. Car is a must to explore nearby beaches and towns. Wide variety of supermarkets an 8 mins drive away. We'll be back!

A lovely stay

This was a gorgeous home, lots of space and privacy. All amenities were new, clean and modern. Convenient location, close to the major roads and in between a number of beaches. Only comment would be about check in -a more accurate location/address would have been better as it was hard to find. But we could always get a hold of someone when and if needed. We ended our month long travel around Portugal at Fatima’s and it was a great way to end our time in this gorgeous and welcoming country.

Cinco estrelas e óptimas férias. / Five stars and very nice holidays.

We had a very nice time and great holidays at the Algarve. The house offered nearly everything for a perfect time. Very good conditions - it is great and lovely equipped and decorated. Thanks to all people involved to keep the house this way and to satisfy our wishes and interests, overall the lovely Maria José - who was always interested and ready to help. Thank you. We'd like to repeat it as soon as possible.

About the host

Hosted by Matt Aberham

Host profile image
We are North American expats, living in Europe for over 10 years. We love traveling and want to make sure the accommodations we offer you exceed the high expectations we have ourselves for comfort and convenience.

Why they chose this property

We love the country setting! At Dos Aloes you can be near (enough) to Carvoeiro but also only a few minutes’ drive to some of the most famous beaches of the Algarve: Praia Marinha, Praia Benagil, Cova Redonda, Praia da Rocha, Albandeira, there are just so many to explore!

What makes this property unique

We love how unique Casa Dos Aloes is! While there are hundreds of villas available across the Algarve, Dos Aloes is a more traditional country home built before 1951 with very thick walls to keep out the hot sun and retain heat from the recently refurbished fireplace during the winter.

The property maximizes outdoor living with a large shaded terrace, outdoor kitchen and dinning area.

Set on a large plot of land, the heated pool is a good distance away from the house and powered by a huge solar array hidden just below your line of sight on our rustic land plot adjoining the property.
