Casa Fayum is furnished throughout to an extremely high standard and is situated in a small picturesque location, Quinta Dos Alamos. It is just a 5 minute walk into the center of the village of Guia. The village is home to several typical Portuguese restaurants serving excellent cuisine as well as cafes, small supermarkets, chemist, banks and shops. The coast and beautiful sandy beaches are only a short drive away. It is the perfect place to relax in peace, to use as a base for a golfing holiday, or from which to explore the nearby attractions of the Algarve. For entertainment there is a Playstation 2 console.

Nice place in calm area

We enjoyed our stay - all worked as expected and the kitchen was well equipped. There are many places to visit near by. We recommed a car to get around.

Lovely Villa

My husband and I had a great stay at the Villa, we love the local village and surrounding area. Very comfortable Villa, especially covered outside dining and seating, had many good lunches and breakfasts, over looking the pool. Home from home, with everything we needed, for a good stay.

The photos on this listing don't do this property justice! It is a delightful spacious villa with a large pool in a quiet Cul-de-sac street. We would definitely return again in the future. We enjoyed every minute.

Great place!

This villa was absolutely amazing! Beautifully decorated, very comfortable and spacious with great seating indoor and out. The pool was such a nice treat after a day of exploring the countryside. In a very quiet neighbourhood with easy access by foot to the town of Guia and within easy driving distance of many towns. Would definitely return again.

Beautiful Villa to relax

Casa Fayum is a firm favourite for us and we have visited many times. The Villa is perfectly equipped, comfortable and the outside space is fabulous. It’s a great location to walk into Guia and only 15mins drive to the beaches at Gale and the main resort of Albufeira. We never get tired of Guia and have been visiting for 20yrs. I just hope we can continue to stay at Casa Fayum.

We have been coming to Guia since 2004 and stayed at Fayum six times. The villa itself is perfectfor 2 people and has everything you need, the location is great and apart from a dog that barks continuously from 7am it is quiet. For the last 3 years the outside area has been getting very tatty, it needs a really good clean and painting. The outside shower is ‘rancid’. We were convinced that this year the outside table and chairs would have been replaced and were astonished to find that even though the chair seats had totally disintegrated, they were still in use.. the same with the chairs at the front of the Villa. Also the awning is mouldy and torn. It really saddens me to write this review because we love coming to Casa Fayum but as we love being outside much more than being in, we won’t be coming again unless the outside space has had a deep clean, been painted and has new outside furniture.

Quiet Secluded Well Appointed

Thie villa is beautiful, very clean, well fitted out to a high standard. The outside space is very clean and the pool is very well maintained. The villa backs onto a private park which is nice. Aircon in both bedrooms, the lounge and the conservatory which is very welcome. The hosts really have thought of everything, nice big fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, the kitchen is great. Beautiful shower room, big rainfall shower, again, very clean and fitted out to a high standard. The property manager was very helpful and on hand for any query, we had a minor issue with the aircon and she had a maintenance man on site within 10 minutes. turned out that the aircon wasn't switched on, silly me. Gardener and maid visited during our 11 day stay, which was all arranged with us beforehand, no problem. Would highly recommend this villa, we would love to book again.

Es waren zwei wunderbare Wochen in der Villa. Herrlich ist der große Pool, in dem wir viel Zeit verbracht haben. Auch das Ausklingen des Tages in den bequemen Sesseln im Wintergarten war sehr angenehm. Gut gefallen hat uns auch das große Bad, sowie die gut ausgestattete Küche mit dem grossen Kühlschrank. Die Nachbarschaft ist herrlich ruhig, nur die kläffenden Hunde haben Nachts ab und zu mal gestört. Positiv überrascht waren wir auch, dass die Unterkunft zur Hälfte von der Putzfrau gereinigt und auch die Betten neu bezogen wurden. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen, auch wegen des netten Kontaktes mit den Vermietern.

Sehr gute Unterkunft, schön eingerichtet, Kimberly ist sehr freundlich, Heinrich beantwortet auf Mails prompt. Nein, dieses Haus ist nicht perfekt, aber jedes Haus hat hier und da gewisse Mängel, manche Dinge nutzen sich im Laufe der Jahre ab oder setzen sich zu. Und das Haus hat eine Geschichte, es hat Charakter und Charme, man fühlt sich sicher, sehr schnell heimisch und es gibt einen fantastischen Erholungswert.Mir stellt sich am Ende immer die Frage, ob ich etwas meinem besten Freund, meiner Schwester, meinem Bruder empfehlen würde. Und was nun diese Haus anbelangt, sage ich bedingungslos Ja! Ich empfehle es bedingungslos. Es war ein tolles Zuhause. Vielen Dank!

The property was beautiful and had everything you needed for your stay . The pool was amazing and in a peaceful area . The only recommendations I would say was that the outside drive needed a drop kerb as our hire car had problems getting over the kerb at the entrance to the villa . We also had no tv during the world cup which was very disappointing but Kimberly did try her best to get it fixed and this happened on our last day . Also outside sun beds and table could do with a jet wash. We had a incredible stay and loved the villa . I would definitely recommend this villa .

Property is well located and serviced. Driveway is steep, so beware on entering forwards. The pool while large, had no cover and was very cold (we opted to not pay for heating thinking it was late enough in the year to go without). The pump on the pool also ran at odd times, so there was often a lot of debris in the pool that wasn't pushed into the skimmers as the pump switched off at around half 2 in the afternoon.

Wir haben eine paar wunderbare Tage in dieser Villa verbracht und können sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Das Haus überzeugt durch seine großzügigen Räumlichkeiten und viele Möglichkeiten zur Entspannung.Besonders hervorzuheben ist der perfekt gepflegte Pool, der zur täglichen Erfrischung einlud. Die Küchenausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen, sodass wir problemlos selbst kochen konnten.Die Lage ist ideal: Die schönen Strände der Algarve sind bequem mit dem Auto erreichbar, während man gleichzeitig die Ruhe der ländlichen Umgebung genießt. Parkplätze sind direkt am Haus vorhanden.Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war problemlos und freundlich.Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Van alle gemakken voorzien

Hele fijne vakantie gehad, woning voldoet volledig aan onze wensen. Prima grootte, heerlijk zwembad. Mooie serre, fijne locatie.Enige minpunt zijn de kapotte zonneschermen, hierdoor wordt het erg heet in de serre. Maar voor ons geen reden om niet opnieuw te boeken.

The Villa is certainly located in a beautiful area overlooking a park. It is possible to walk into Guia but a car is preferable to make it more comfortable. The Villa is in excellent condition with a first class conservatory overlooking the pool and park. The pool is immaculate and was cleaned several times during our two week stay. There was a problem that only two of the sun beds were not cracked but this may have been sorted by now. The bedrooms are large with plenty of wardrobe space and coat hangers. The main bathroom contains a walk in shower and the Villa appears to possess the best hot water system we have experienced. The second bathroom is a little away from the bedrooms but is quite adequate for being the smaller of the two units. The one problem was that the Villa information indicates a safe however the property does not have one accessible to the guests. This is only a small concern and we would have no problem returning to the property in the future and recommending it to others.
