About this property

Beautiful new construction 2 bed home with ample outdoor areas to enhance your memories. Dubbed Casa de Sol for the expansive sun sets you'll enjoy from the front porch or the back yard. From the fire pit and comfortable Adirondack chairs to the gazebo covering the hot tub and outdoor dining, the back yard has been perfectly situated to maximize the expansive views, sunrises and sunsets. The primary bedroom features an on-suite bath, large window and huge walk-in closet. The secondary bedroom also features a large window and walk-in closet. Radiant in-floor heat and electric fireplace insert and all the insulation of new construction keep the home cozy in the winter and the classic southwestern saltillo tile and abundant windows and fans keep the home comfortable in the warmest summer months. Amenities include a fully appointed kitchen and outdoor grille for all of your cooking plans, a one-car garage to park out of the elements, front and rear covered patios to enjoy the outside in any season, and WiFi and Smart TV to complete your relaxation or productivity needs.
While you visit Casa del Sol, make sure to enjoy some of the immediate area's great activities, amenities and sites. New Mexico's wine country is just south along the scenic drive along the Rio Grande to Española. While you're down that way consider some fishing for trout and warm-water species, or a rafting trip, or visit some of the fruit stands or orchards. A variety of hunting and fishing abound nearby. Of course, Taos is home to four great ski areas that cater to all budgets and skill levels. A short drive to the northwest includes the famous Rio Grande Gorge Bridge overlook, unparalleled Earthship Biotecture community and the Carson National Forest. The high desert is home to unique flora and fauna that can be explored on some of the areas hiking and mountain trails or off-road recreation. Taos is art – while wandering the streets of downtown you’ll find art and its Native and southwestern influences surrounding you in the shops, galleries and museums. Visit Taos Pueblo the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. From museums and historic churches to the Taos Plaza and the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument, Taos has many wonderful landmarks to explore. There are also great live concerts and events to take in at Historic Kit Carson Park. Before heading home for the evening, enjoy a meal or a drink with friends at one of the great restaurants that make up Taos’ food scene. We look forward to hosting you.

About the host
Hosted by Dan Lucchesi

Our family (Dan & Jenn plus Wesley & Wyatt) live in Durango, CO. We relocated there to enjoy the benefits of raising a family in a small town, with great outdoor recreation. We enjoy hunting, fishing, homesteading, mountain biking and skiing. Hosting give us the some flexibility in our chaotic schedule and allows us to create cool vacation opportunities for others. We love the places we host.
