Perfect for a weekend getaway! A nice quiet neighborhood, great amenities, plenty of beds to sleep in, and nice cozy cabin vibes! We had a blast here, and would absolutely stay here again if we had the opportunity!
We had a wonderful time at Mike and Sarah’s Dally Cabin! There was enough space for our entire family to come and enjoy my Mom’s 80th bday party. It was very clean and had enough of the basics for our week long stay. We enjoyed swimming in the channel, kayaking, throwing some bags, and chilling on the decks and patio. The water was too high for the pontoon to get under the bridge, but they put an extra dock up on their boat launch and we were able to keep our boats there, it was perfect! The personal boat launch was great too, for my husband hadn’t launched a boat in a long time and that took the pressure off! The owners, Mike and Sarah, were friendly and very accommodating. Thanks for sharing your nice lake home/cabin, we enjoyed it so much!
We stayed with extended family. We enjoyed the fishing and having a dock for the boat. The kids loved fishing.of the dock and playing in the shallow water. There was plenty of room for our large group. Outside had plenty of spot in the sun and shade to hang out. This was a great choice for our week.
This cabin had everything you needed to settle right in. We were a group of 10 with varying ages of kids. The kids loved wading in the water and catching fish right off the dock! Adults loved kayaking on the lake in the morning and sitting by the fire at night.
Clean and plenty of room for 7 adults and a 2 year old. The house had everything we needed, even a waffle iron. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thanks.
Overall, my friends and I had a good time. The cabin came with all the cookware we needed. However, if you have a larger group staying bring toilet paper, handsoap, paper towel, garbage bags, and some sort of cleaner. There was hardly any of that provided. Also, we felt the owners were always around in our cabin area. Several times they were very close to where we were hanging out and it just didn't give us the privacy we wanted.
Awesome house and property, Be wary of shallow lake
This property and house is as advertised. Nothing too flashy, but a perfectly capable house for hosting and sleeping a large group comfortably. Also very conveniently located only an hour from the cities with the town of Annandale only 15 mins away for any supply needs. Paul was super responsive and helpful throughout our 11 day stay, and we would definitely rent from him and his family again.
The only downside (nothing to do with the house or property) is the shallowness of Clearwater lake. For anyone looking to rent a boat, there is plenty of dock space on the property, but the water is extremely shallow (under 18in at points on the lake). We rented 2 boats and damaged both props because of this. I honestly believe was unavoidable given the lake conditions, so be wary if you are planning to do the same.
Very clean, comfortable beds, tons of space. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, kayaking, s’mores by the fire, cooking in the well stocked kitchen, playing games and visiting with family. There is a lot of seating both inside and outside. We’d stay again.
Enjoyable property. Kitchen was adequately supplied with utensils, kettles etc. It was very clean.
Beds were comfortable. Overall great experience. It was very hot outside while we were there so at times the air conditions had a tough time keeping up. But we had a great time in a very comfortable environment.
Cabin was great; very roomy for all of us. Weather was beautiful. The lake was very clear. We all loved the canal; we spent most of the time in the water. It was great for the kids. First time we’ve done this. We will definitely do it again!
We enjoyed our vacation at the rental, the house was bigger than it looks in the pictures, lots of room for everyone. Bedding was nice and all the dishes you would need.
We had 14 people staying with us and there was plenty of space for all of us!! I have children 10 and under and they all had something to do while staying here. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed while competing at the crossfit Granite Games Championship. The drive was about 30 minutes to St. Cloud and very easy. The house was larger then appeared and very clean. We had a issue with the plumbing and the owner fixed amazingly fast! Great stay!
Our whole family had a blast. The fire pit was very nice. Everything in the kitchen was there that we needed. Looking forward to going again next year.

What a great location and house!!!
We had family from out of state and their Minnesota experience was highlighted by very good accommodations for all of us. The owners were also very helpful and took care of all of our needs and questions very promptly. We would certainly return again and recommend to others.

Near the Road and neighboring houses
We stayed here with our friends and their families after the summer crowds so it was quiet enough, but the road leading to the property is right next to the house--in fact the view to Clearwater Lake is foregrounded by the road. 3 of the bedrooms and the upstairs bath were fine, but one of the basement bedrooms needs renovating, the hallway leading to the downstairs bath was unappealing, and the shower stall was somewhat shabby (though the water pressure was fine). The basement rooms were also cold.
The tap water has a strong sulfur smell that was undrinkable, though probably not dangerous. There was no salt or cooking oil or dishwasher detergent in the kitchen. The dining and living areas were indeed spacious though, and Grass Lake was a lovely little lake to float on.
