The Wyndham Kingsgate resort is less than a mile away from Historic Williamsburg and seven miles from Busch Gardens. The resort has a friendly staff that is available 24/7. The resort has 2 outdoor swimming pools, a indoor swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub. Amenities available with the condo rental are use of the exercise room, pools, hot tub, movie theater, picnic/BBQ area, game room, playground, miniature golf and two tennis courts.

The condo available for rent is a 3 bedroom 3 bath furnished lock off condo. A 3 bedroom 3 bath lock off condo is a 2 bedroom deluxe and 1 bedroom combined like an adjoining room. The condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware and dishes. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a bathroom, the second bedroom has a king size bed, the third bedroom has a king size bed and the unit has two queen size sofa sleeper in each living room. The condo will have 2 living rooms with a balcony in the 2 bedroom unit. This unit is about 1,600 square feet.

The name provided will need to be the name of the person responsible for checking into the condo. The name on the reservation with be the only one allowed to check in with the resort front desk. The guest checking into the condo must be at least 21 years old.

We can put up to two names on the guest confirmation and the rest of the guest can be added at check in. ANY CHANGES TO THE GUEST CONFIRMATION ONCE CONFIRMED REQUIRES A $129 CHANGE FEE.

The resort requires a security deposit of $250.00 at check in.

The resort does collect a daily $13.00 amenities fee per condo.

Family Fun in Williamsburg

Our extended family had a great time in the Wyndham Kingsgate. The paired rooms worked well to give everyone just the right amount of space, and the resort amenities were just what we needed to relax. Would definitely stay again!

Overall the stay was great. The complex was huge and it was very full (to be expected in summer). The unit we stayed in was clean. The furniture will need to be upgraded soon as some of the dining room chairs need new seats covers and reinforced cushions. Our pullout bed was wet (from being cleaned), but housekeeping responded quickly and made it useable. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The check process was fine, until they send you over to get your bracelets, and then try to sell you into their vacation club. That was super annoying. Also, at night when you’re trying to sleep, if other guests are up and moving around, You can pretty much hear everything they are doing. So not very soundproof. Property manager was super cool. Very communicative.

Williamsburg Vacation

Great location, minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Garden, Jamestown. Very clean rooms, service was great and very quick if we needed anything extra brought to rooms. The only bummer was, we specifically rented here for the outdoor pools and they were closed for construction and the listing and host never notified us. We found out only days before when I called the location and they told us. It was too late to rebook anywhere else. They said we could use another locations pool, but way too much work to pack up family and head there.

The accommodations were beautiful and the activities offered were great.Check-in was the issue for us.This is a vacation TIMESHARE resort. The people at the front desk would not let my husband just check in without giving him a whole pressure-filled talking-to about how we should purchase into the timeshare. That was only an issue because we have little kids and they were all hungry. If we would have known check-in would take so long we would have picked up food first.There are also additional resort fees (7/day) that are added to the total of the room (above what was communicated on VRBO)Our VRBO hosts were great - we just want to make sure the next person knows that this is a timeshare property, so make sure you plan extra time for check-in.

Nice place to stay

The property is very nice and clean. Lots of amenities. The check process with the property staff was fast and easy but in order to get your keys to room you have to get them from the vacation rental people. They gave me the hard sell, told me that I was already registered to attend their sales seminar. When I told them I would not be attending, they implied that it was a condition of us being able to use the rental. I had to say “no” to the sales pitch several times to get the keys. This is the only issue I had with the property

Our host was terrific, providing us with very prompt, and thorough, answers, to a myriad of questions we had about the resort. We were so very pleased with the accomodations and amenities offered at the Club Wyndham Kingsgate! It was wonderful to walk in to the Reception area, and be greeted by so many smiling, very attentive and helpful employees.The rooms were spotless, and we spent quiet mornings relaxing on our balcony, overlooking crepe myrtle trees, bordering one of the ponds with a fountain.We notified the desk about one little issue, and maintenance came within an hour of us reporting the trouble.The weather was cool and rainy for much of our stay, so we weren't able to use many of the outdoor amenities, but we spent several happy afternoons doing water exercises in the heated indoor pool, and walked the outer circle of the resorts "roadway" a couple of times each evening that it wasn't raining. Our friends enjoyed their visits to the workout room, as well as the game arcade and hot tub.The movie house was out of operation during our stay.The on site grill is open Thursday through Sunday, (I believe,) and serves a tasty, very juicy burger, and there are a wide variety of other restaurants nearby.
