The overall aesthetic of the house is beautiful and we were really excited to spend our weekend there but a safety hazard and our interactions with the host tainted the entire experience. The kitchen had a lot of fruit flies, which did worsen throughout the weekend despite us keeping the kitchen clean. By the end of the weekend there were flies covering the windows. There was also no access to cleaning supplies or extra garbage bags.Upon arrival there was a flimsy wood board covering a hole in the ground in the parking area by the front of the house that was not marked and one of us fell through it. There was no maximum car limit posted in the ad or in the check in information online that was available to us. Had we known only two cars could be parked at the house, and how they wanted them parked, we would have arranged to have people carpool prior to checking in. Once we were all settled, we were then told to move. There is nowhere close by to park additional cars. The host repeatedly spied on us using their cameras, texted me, and we could visibly see the cameras moving to watch us while we ate breakfast. It felt incredibly invasive, and we ended up feeling unwelcome and spending less time at the house because we felt we were being watched.
