About this property
Dog friendly with Fully Fenced Half Acre Yard, Prime Location, and In-Law Suite!
Conveniently located near DC and Tysons Corner, offering easy access to attractions. The place to be if you want to feel at home - while away from home! A recently remodeled home, with blinds throughout, in a quiet neighborhood, with plentiful light and 2400 sq ft of living space, split across three levels.
Location, location, location ... you will be centrally located with easy access to DC's and Virginia's most desirable attractions. It’s just 11 miles to DC, 10 miles Tyson’s Corner and 11 miles to Old Town Alexandria, all via interstate highways (I-395 / I-495 / I-95) access to which is just 2 miles away.
If you prefer public transportation, the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Backlick Rd. Station, with ample free parking, is within 1 mile. VRE trains take you directly to Alexandria, Crystal City, L’Enfant Plaza and Union Station.
After a long day of sightseeing or work, you will be able to retire in peace and quiet on this large property, where you can hear the birds chirping and the woodpeckers pecking. Relax on the large deck, or make a bonfire in the backyard fire pit. Trees are abundant and make you feel as though you are miles from the city when, in fact, you are only minutes away!
Our home is newly renovated with fresh paint and new hardwood/tile flooring throughout the house. It is super clean (ALL linens, blankets and towels are professionally washed after each rental) and tastefully decorated to created a warm and comfy feeling.
It features accommodations for up to 6 guests, with one king-size bed, one full size bed, two twin beds, a full size pullout sofa bed, and a fold-down full size bed. All the beds, except sofa bed have new extra padding toppers. Hardwood floors throughout the main living areas are accented by stylish area rugs and furniture.
The Master Bedroom, which has a king-sized bed, features a private bathroom, and closets with plenty of room for clothes and shoes. The master bedroom backs up to a wooded area, with large mature oak trees. If you open the windows, you might hear the crickets and frogs at night and the birds in the morning.
Our home is equipped with many things to make your stay as comfortable and carefree as possible. Our kitchen has a new stainless steel refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, plus an array of pots, pans, and a Keurig coffee maker. You may choose to eat breakfast in the very large eat-in kitchen, or in the dining room, which is equipped with an antique pine table that seats six. On a sunny day, you may also choose to enjoy our beautiful, private deck which overlooks a large back yard.
The large downstairs, which is newly, finished, has luxury vinyl wood flooring, and with its large sectional sofa and gas fireplace, can serve a family gathering place, or a place to curl up and read a good book. It is adjoined by a office space, with a desk to get some work done, and a 1/2 bath.
Large, modern Samsung washer and dryer are available for guest use.
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Backlick Rd. Station, with ample parking, is within 1 mile and the bus stop is only a 3 minute walk. Interstate 395 and 495/95 are less than two miles away for quick access to downtown or to all parts of Virginia and Maryland.
