Beautiful restored historic home, steps from the Capitol and Metro. Sleeps 8
At the heart of historic Eastern Market, is a rowhouse that was on the Historic Restoration Home Tour just waiting for you and your family! One of the few rowhouses that have been completely modernized and restored while still maintaining the old Federal charm, it will be comfortable and exactly what you are looking for as you tour the Nations Capitol. 8 blocks from The Capitol, and one stop on the metro from the National Mall and the Smithsonian museums. We also have a Trader Joe’s at Eastern Market for grocery shopping! Steps away from the Metro, Barracks Row shopping and eating, Nationals Stadium and the Capitol itself, this location cannot be beat! No car necessary when staying here as we are a 10 minute Uber ride from Reagan National Airport. Did we also mention we have a backyard complete with Solo Stove, Weber Grill and Outdoor Heater. Kitchen was great for preparing all kinds of meals. Nice sleeping accommodations. Location was superb. Close to grocery stores, metro, and restaurants. Using Uber/Lyft or just plain walking was a breeze.
We had the very best time on our trip! This house far exceed our expectations and was truly one of the highlights of our trip as it was a treasure trove of history in and of itself. Perfect location and the hosts were so kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we ever come back! Great neighborhood with easy access to everything. Thanks to Nat and Chantal!
This Capitol Hill home was perfection for location: steps from the metro, parking for our rental, and a quick stroll from Eastern market made it so convenient. The house had all the luxuries you want away from home-a nice selection of pillows, cozy bedding, hot showers with great water pressure, a well appointed kitchen, and immaculate design and decor. Our family of 6 fit perfectly and the neighborhood felt quite safe while out walking with our children. Lovely outdoor areas were enjoyable day and night with a friendly cat who checked in occasionally. Despite the Smithsonian being shutdown, the eclectic decor and history of this home made it feel like a mini museum that has been carefully curated. The owners were great to work with and very communicative.
House was well kept. Very clean. Organized. Homely. Fun. Safe neighborhood. Walking distance to metro. Good weekend market, restaurants and ice cream close by.
Amazing stay in a charming property with plenty of history. The hosts were beyond accommodating and wonderful to communicate with during our stay. It was a wonderful experience.
We had the loveliest time staying in your home! We were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect spot for base camp, winding down with family, and enjoying the beautiful DC area. Just loved the character of the home, well-appointed and modern, and also full of history and old charm. Home was exactly as described and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend staying here!!
It was truly a delight to stay at this property!!! We stayed there for the week of our daughter's wedding and it could not have been more perfect! The location is fabulous, the house was very homey and wonderful for our family time together, and the hosts were incredibly gracious. The parking permit they provided made our stay extra convenient. The property is beautiful and functional. We utilized the indoor and outdoor space and both were delightful! We will definitely stay here again if the opportunity presents itself!
This is beautiful home! Large, comfortable rooms. Kitchen is awesome with lots of high end amenities. Kids loved the basement with the big TV. Perfect location to relax after a day in DC. The walk to the closest metro was .4 miles
very roomy place for a major city- housed all 10 of us! Comfortable and nice! This is right in Eastern Market- a total hidden gem in the DC area, and easy access to the rest of the city! Great spot!

Beautiful and comfortable home in very central part of Capital Hill
We were three adults and two children enjoying all that DC has to offer. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The property couldn’t be more beautiful and is clearly restored with love.
The location made it easy for us to see anything we wanted to with minimal travel time. The kitchen and accommodations also made it easy for us to cook in and enjoy family time after a long day of seeing the sights.
We thoroughly enjoyed and plan to return again.
Beautiful property. Great location, centrally located
Beautiful property. Great location, centrally located. A little tight for 10 people, specially since there was no closet space for guest to use as they were all full with owner's belongings. Was worried we would accidentally break some of the decorations as the house had them all over the house (very pretty, though). Overall a great experience.
This is a great property to visit our Nation's Capital. It is located just off the Mall. We walked to the Capital the first night and my kids were in awe of the beauty of the Mall at night. This location is a quick walk to the Metro, Trader Joes, and many restaurants at Eastern Market. We also found the availability of escooters and bikes at the Metro station fun to tour the city.

Great location and charming property
The house was very nice and clean and well-appointed. Amenities like quality of linens and kitchenware was far superior than most places you will ever stay. Every space very nicely updated and the location was exceptional. You can walk to many excellent restaurants and the Metro. The Trader Joe's is just down the street for some provisions. My only possible criticism would be there's no place comfortable to gather in this house to enjoy a glass of wine with friends, apart from the back patio. The back patio and garden space is spacious and lovely. Overall, we had a great experience.

Fantastic family vacation!!!
My family stayed here for 5 nights in March and had a fantastic stay. The home is very family friendly with lots of room and all the comforts of home. We have 3 kids (11, 10, and 8) and there was more than enough space for us all to have a separate space but also be together. The kitchen was stock with anything you may need to make meals and enjoy time together as a family. The location is great only being a few blocks from the Eastern Market. We picked up fresh vegetables and meats everyday to cook. Also enjoyed walking to the local coffee shop each morning to grab coffee and a danish before headed out for our adventures for the day. The location is great only being blocks East of the Capital and 3 blocks from the Metro station. We would absolutely stay here again if we make it back to DC! Thanks Chantal for making it a memorable experience!!

GREAT FAMILY CHRISTMAS VACATION!!
Our blended family of 10 (ages 9 to 49) enjoyed our Christmas week in this nice old Row House in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood. The neighborhood is nice and the location was great, a few blocks from the Eastern Metro Line and Eastern Market. The Eastern Market is WONDERFUL! We bought fresh produce and fruit a couple times that week; pork chops for the grill & bacon for breakfast. The house is about a 15-20 minute walk to the grocery store – Safeway. You can even walk to the Capitol and Botanic Gardens, just a straight shot down Independence Street. You will pass many cute shops, Starbucks and restaurants while walking around the neighborhood. We did not have a car; there was no need for one, Metro is convenient and inexpensive.
House was well maintained & owners put up a Christmas tree in living room, which was a nice touch. Kitchen was easy to cook in; it did not have everything we needed, but we made it work. We especially loved being able to grill out one night on the back patio. House met our needs with the exception of beds, VRBO Ad states 3rd bedroom has 3 twin and it only has 2 twin beds. Owner was accommodating in getting another air mattress for the basement. One thing worth mentioning - the owners live in the house when not being rented… it is very cluttered, therefore, there is no place to hang or put your things, you will be living out of your suitcase. It would be nice to have some closet, drawers, and open surfaces to put things. Owners Nat & Chantal were nice and let us do an early check-in on our day of arrival. We would recommend this house to anyone with a large family or group (of 10 or less) who wants to visit DC – there is so much to see and do – you will not be disappointed.
Charming historic Capitol Hill home with lots of character and a great location. However, several things impacted our stay: allergy flare-ups due to past cat presence (not disclosed), a leaking air mattress, worn bedding, and only one parking pass for a multi-bedroom rental. Some appliance instructions would also help. With better transparency and small upgrades, this could be a great stay.
We had an amazing time visiting all the sites in DC and having this lovely home to come back to everyday was ideal. The location was great and parking was plentiful. We were there over the Fourth of July, it was extremely hot and humid, and this home provided much needed relief. The AC was more than adequate and we were thankful. The hosts were easily accessible by phone, we thank them for a wonderful time.
