Set along the Cumberland River, Old Hickory was once home to a 1900s DuPont gunpowder plant, with the neighborhood growing outward from the factory. This primarily residential area now sports the Old Hickory Country Club and sandy Old Hickory Beach, along with dining choices such as soul food and sports bar restaurants. The seasonal, weekly Old Hickory Village Farmers Market runs from spring until fall.

Nice property. Access in and out of the very busy main road can be difficult. The housing development is not well marked off the main road.
