This property was amazing! The pictures do it justice (and even then it exceeds them), and Pat is a very communicative and helpful host.My friends and I rented the place for a long weekend getaway from NYC and this was truly the relaxing and fun vibe we wanted. I'm usually very picky about places when I'm traveling with a larger group (we were 11) and this estate was also so great because there was more than enough beds for everyone to be comfortable on.Would stay here again, and highly recommend!
Beautiful house with views of the Hudson River. The fall colors from the trees added to the scenery. The house was magnificent with the amenities! Great place to stay with family! Host was fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed! Highly recommend staying here!
What an exquisite property! This is our best family VRBO booking for such a wonderful home, gardens and outdoor amenities. We appreciated the beautiful, well maintained and landscaped gardens, outdoor patio seatings and wonderful view of the Hudson River. Our family who gathered for a family wedding at a Hudson River Venue loved and appreciated all these special amenities.
The house is amazing both inside and out. There was so much room, beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and seating. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and we appreciated the extra supplies of paper towels, spices and tin foil etc. The master bedroom was gorgeous - better than any room in any hotel. Great showers, fabulous barbeque, and numerous dining spaces. The photos in the add truly show the beauty of the place. We also enjoyed the fire pit and gardens although it was too chilly to really be outdoors much. The garage was something to see - so easy and plenty of room for all of our cars. I can't say enough about how wonderful this property truly is.
We could not have had a more memorable experience had it not been for this spectacular property. This was a dream come true, and you helped our family celebrate a tremendous milestone. Everything about this property is top notch. More importantly, we felt welcomed and warmth. It was truly a home away from home.

Best,

The property is stunning. I don’t think the pictures even do it justice. The home is also very well kept and thoughtfully laid out. No detail was overlooked. Above and beyond experience. We as a family appreciated it all so much.
The house is wonderful; spacious, clean and super comfy with lots of options to hang out, eat and whatever. The grounds are magnificent, making optimal use of the natural setting and views of the Hudson. Hope to return soon!

Thank you, Rob! I'm delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Hudson River Valley Estate. Ensuring that my guests have a memorable getaway is very important to me. I also appreciate your consideration in leaving the house in excellent condition. I hope to welcome you back soon!
Great views of the Hudson and passing barges. Also of bald eagles!
House is very comfortable for large parties, and well equipped. We took a lot of kitchen gear which we didn't need.
The house is tucked by the Hudson River bank in a small quaint town. It’s very convenient to get to and from. The view is fantastic, the property is gorgeous and the house is well appointed. There are six large bedrooms for sleeping twelve comfortably. Common areas are spacious. Overall it is a fantastic property.

Very special home for a large family to stay together
Our stay in Verplanck was incredible in the palatial Italian styled home with gorgeous grounds that lead right down to the Hudson River. My family all stayed together as we were hosting a wedding at Monteverde in Cortlandt Manor. Truly the only negative thing was that we didn't get to spend as much time at the property as we would have liked because we had so many wedding activities! A special feature was the impressive koi pond with a mini-waterscape that was right out a bay window in the kitchen.
If you took this house and put it in the middle of the desert - it would still be a 10 out of 10. Now imagine it's nestled on the banks of the Hudson River - and it's a 100 out of 10.The house itself is huge. With lots of places to relax. Bedrooms and bathrooms are plentiful. The kitchen was great. Dining room with a 10 person table. Fireplaces, views, coy pond, wet bar, etc etc. The outdoor area is really the highlight. There's a patio with a bar and grill. The seating area with a gas fire place is where we watched the sunset on two different days. And Pat clearly has a green thumb as the indoor and outdoor plans and landscaping are very impressive. The views from outside (and inside) are breathtaking. She also has gone the extra mile to add special touches to make the home feel very "homey".I can't recommend this property enough.
Absolutely perfect group trip house - would stay again!
Our group of 7 adults was blown away by the setting and accommodations at this house. The layout, spaciousness, and attention to detail were just spectacular. There are 6 bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms (including one on the main level not associated with bedrooms, which is helpful) a huge living area, a workout room, a sauna - everything we could need. Everything was well appointed, beds very comfortable, whole house very clean (and I'm picky!) The star of the show, though, is the outdoor space. Perfectly situated right on the Hudson River, we soaked up every minute of the fresh air, beautiful landscaping, ample comfy seating, fire table, etc. The fall leaves were just gorgeous, too.
The neighborhood is fine - nothing special, and not much that's walkable, but it didn't matter a bit because we didn't want to leave the house! If you do have a car, it's easy to get to a grocery store and the ample attractions throughout the Hudson Valley.
If you plan to do a lot of cooking, do note that the kitchen is reasonably well stocked on cookware but missing a few things like some basic pyrex bakeware/more than one measuring cup. Besides a solid supply of coffee pods, it didn't have any cooking staples (seasonings, cooking oil, etc). Of course, this may not matter if you don't plan to cook much, and we managed just fine with a trip to the grocery store.
Again, I can't say enough about this amazing house, and our group is already talking about coming back sometime. Five stars all the way!
