The host was welcoming and responded promptly to any questions. The amenities provided were as described in the listing. There were even some horses on the property that were very friendly and came close to the fence to say hi! The cabin was very cozy and just a short drive away from downtown Granbury. Would love to book here again next time we're in the area!
The cabin was very clean and cozy. Loved the ambiance of the music and fire place! It was nice and quiet and it's what we really needed. Especially liked the "lock" on the inside door!

So glad you came and enjoyed our country place. We tried to keep it historic, but with nice modern things.
Keep us in mind when you can get away again.

Deborah, So glad you were able to come and enjoy our country place. The log cabin was built in Henderson, TX in 1867. We are proud to have kept it as close to orginial as we could. It now has air condition and heat. Do not need to depend on firewood.

The host is amazing and filled us in on the cabin move and reassembling it back to original charm.

Glad you and family enjoyed our place in the country. Consider us again in the future. Pass on to your family and friends how quite it is and relaxing from their busy lives. It is really nice to know the girls enjoyed the horses.
Honestly this was such an awesome find! The cabin is so cozy and welcoming you won’t regret booking here. We booked for the 4th of July weekend with our pup and ended up staying 2 extra days because of how much we enjoyed the property. To sleep in a cabin constructed over 150 years ago you are transported back to a simpler time and it felt like we could unplug from the craziness of life. It was the best decision to stay here and will definitely be booking again in the future.

I cleared up the description of our cabins on my site, thank you for bringing the description to my attention. It is a dog-trot log house. Two cabins under one roof. Looking at the pictures on our site you would assume it has two cabins because of the 6' breezeway. I do not say we have a hot tub it is listed a jetted tub, which iin reality is a Jacuzzi. Do consider us again in the future.

About the host
Hosted by Ona Pruitt
The Pruitt family enjoys hosting this log cabin. John and Ona started the cabin for a vacation place in 2005 and then Doug and Marci our son and wife and now Payton our grandson keeps cabin fresh and clean for your stay.
Why they chose this property
Our family moved to Granbury about 30 years ago. We had a one bedroom house for 5 years and during that time family wanted to come visit. We found this beautiful old log house and moved it to our property for extra rooms. But... decided when not being used we could invite new friend to stay. The cabin is located on one end of our 40 arces and away from anyones houses. Private and quite for your stay.
What makes this property unique
You will only be about 7 miles from the Granbury Historic Square. Enjoy the country life but close to everything. Granbury Lake is about 4 miles.
