Charming guest cottage on beautiful Lake Granbury! This newly constructed guest suite is lake front, on the most beautiful open water area of Lake Granbury and close to the Granbury Historic square. There are several steps to walk up to access the cottage, and is perfect for a couple with one bedroom (queen-size bed), but there is a large couch for an extra guest. There are ceiling fans in each room, and separate thermostats. Upon arrival guest are impressed with the immaculate interior of the cottage, with a kitchen, living room, and bedroom with private bath. Enjoy a great weekend at the lake and enjoy the fishing and scenery from the dock. (There is a resource for renting boats, jet-skis, and all kinds of water-sport equipment only blocks away.) The guest suite has a beautiful, serene view of the water, with plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy. It's perfect for a romantic getaway, friends spending time together, or a relaxing overnight stay. Dine on site in the fully equipped kitchen or use the outside BBQ. Some prefer to experience Granbury’s fine restaurants, just minutes away. There is an outdoor fireplace and beautiful decks to enjoy the view of the lake. Curl up inside on the over sized sofa and enjoy watching your favorite sports on the 42'' flat screen set up for streaming your favorite channels and stay connected with our complimentary WiFi system. The guest suite is close to the Granbury Historic square and all the restaurants, quaint shops, local activities, and the beach! If guests need a break from the lake, there is plenty of entertainment around town. There is a newly renovated bowling alley and a cinema. There's even a drive-in movie in Granbury! On the historical Granbury Square there is always a play to be seen at the famous "Opera House." The guest suite is only 30 minutes from Fort Worth, or if you are interested in wildlife adventure, "Fossill Rim" is just a short drive away in Glen Rose, and "Dinosaur Valley State Park."

Property was clean and well maintained, but not ideally suited to three people. Space was very small which made it difficult to engage in many leisure-type activities. Listing suggests some level of privacy when enjoying lake views, but in reality the seating area is in the hosts' backyard and accessible only by walking through their home's patio. And since the property was listed as accommodating three people, and we were traveling separately for a girls' outing and meetup, assumed that ample parking would be available. Despite parking bumper-to-bumper in a line, we were berated by the host for taking up too much room. Might be fine for a couple, but can't recommend for any more than two people traveling in one vehicle.

I could definitely be spoiled by my own bed but I did not find the bed to be the most restful. If you have knee issues or difficulties getting up from a seated position I would not suggest sitting on the couch as it sinks very low.

The BEST place to stay if you’re looking for a little staycation in Granbury. The host and her husband are the sweetest people and have the best communication and hospitality! The place is beautiful and very well kept. The lake view is 10/10 and location is absolutely perfect as you’re about 10 minutes from anything and everything you need. We are so grateful we chose this place and we hope to return again

Very clean and tidy. Couch large so served appropriately for third adult to sleep on. Very nice size bathroom. Nice location with access to home owner’s patios with very nice view of the lake. Only bummer was we didn’t get to have a fire in the outdoor fireplace that was listed as included and pictured in the advertisement of the property. We were told it was too hot outside for it, but we were looking for the ambiance of an outdoor fire as we visited. But otherwise everything was as listed. The included breakfast was some OJ and muffins which seemed light for three adults but we hadn’t expected a huge breakfast so not a big factor. Overall very nice place.

The property is located on Lake Granbury. There are different outdoor seating areas for visitors to enjoy. The suite above the garage is just the right size for a couple. The temperature in the suite was very comfortable. The layout of the property is designed for people who are mobile. There are stairs going up to the suite and steps going down to the outdoor seating areas. It is well lit at night. I do recommend that you bring a smaller vehicle as parking is somewhat of a challenge. The concrete area is not large enough to effectively back up and go forward. Ultimately, we ended up, backing all the way down the fairly long driveway and into the street to leave the property. The host was very helpful and responded to all my questions in the very timely manner. The bed was very comfortable, but the couch was not.

The space is beautifully furnished and the host is wonderful. The location is fantastic. You need to realize this is an apartment above the garage of the hosts beautiful home. The outdoor areas are incredible and part of their home. You have complete access to these areas. We never saw the owners except at check in. We will visit again.

I absolutely love this place! This was my 2nd stay at the Guest Suite on Lake Granbury and I will definitely be back again. The property is absolutely stunning--right on the lake and the owners have a private dock you can access. The space is so cozy, perfect for a solo traveler or a couple visiting, and it's just a short walk to downtown Granbury with easy access to shopping, restaurants, etc. The host, LeAnn, is wonderful and easy to get in touch with. Cannot recommend this place enough!
