Family of four adults stayed for a short surf trip. Host provided great communication, easy check-in and check out. Perfect location and wonderful outside backyard area.

The property has amazing outdoor space. The kitchen is decently appointed but bring all ingredients as there is no oil, pepper, salt etc. the beach chairs were great and the host was very responsive when we needed extra towels and sheets.

good for pet. Nice host who knew of power outage but had to be called to supply flashlights and we learned outage was announced and did not tell us.Living-dining area full of unnecesary things. Messy. Requires upgrading. Rooms are nice but the towels supplied though new were kid size.

The house owners were helpful and quick to respond to questions. We loved walking the short walk to Shacks Beach. The house is centrally located to explore other nearby beaches and towns. We walked to Ola Lola’s and the Eclipse restaurant for dinner. The house had everything we needed for the four of us.

La Casita is a perfect beach getaway: walk to the beach, cool and comfortable inside, wonderful shaded patio area with hammocks and an outside shower to rinse off sand. I hope we can come back again!

Very kind host! Had all the info necessary for arrival and check out! Only a few things that would have been nice to know prior to booking - house did provide beach chairs but only two for a house that could fit more guests than that so that wasn’t terrible as our other guest used a towel. A few items in house weren’t functional - broken beach umbrella, beach game paddles were missing the ball so that was unable to be played, missing batteries in master TV remote and unable to find TV remote for second bedroom TV (we were however able to download an app on phone to compensate for that so not too terrible as TVs were very nice!). Master shower was beautiful but did not get very warm and water pressure was noticeably lower than downstairs shower. Sheets felt noticeably worn (I.e. significant pilling) so we didn’t love that. Did very much enjoy the backyard outdoor games and only 5 minute walk to beach as well as close proximity to Ola Lola’s, arguably the best restaurant in Shacks!! So all in all nice for what we paid!

Our stay at La Casita was okay. As an experienced traveler this home did not meet my expectations. Overall this property really needs updating, as the pictures do not fully capture all of the aspects of the home. Some of the sections of the home that really need immediate attention is the shower downstairs, the downstairs tile, the metal doors to the backyard need to be replaced, and the terrace roof has damage with evidence of a leak. With some TLC, this home could really be a gem.
