About the host

We have been the lucky owners of Bigfoot Chalet for two years. We are a family of skiers and bought Bigfoot Chalet for its close proximity to so many wonderful ski mountains. We also loved that it was the perfect midway point between Connecticut and Burlington where our oldest son is in college. Even though Bigfoot has only been in our family for two years we are not new to Vermont. We have skied in Vermont our whole lives and Jeanne grew up on the shores of Lake Morey where her family owned a summer home for nearly 30 years.

Why they chose this property

We love Bigfoot Chalet and have enjoyed making many improvements to the property over the last two years. We love how cozy the house is in the winter and how peaceful it is to go out walking on Chapman Road. We love how quiet it is and how the stars seem to shine extra bright without street lights. We love making Bigfoot a special destination not just for our family but for your family as well.

What makes this property unique

Bigfoot is a cozy pet-friendly cabin with fireplace set on two acres of land. Lakes, hiking, biking, snowmobiling and skiing are short steps away. If you love the outdoors you will love this getaway in the woods.

Enjoy a coffee and a good book on the deck. Cook up a feast for your family and friends on a large rustic table and benches. Toast marshmallows around the fire pit.
