Host seems lovely from the brief texts we had. Very descriptive on how to get there and our amenities while staying there. Great little place for our short ski trip. We all had a great time with the hot tub and air hockey table. It was also great watching some old VCR’s Only downfall was the really bad sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Especially when showering. If it wasn’t for the smell, it would be a 5/5 stay.

I could not recommend this stay more. The hosts put in every effort to make you feel welcome and supported, and truely made a memorable difference for our stay. We stayed in the accomodation for just over two months and it felt like a home. The amenities are such a plus, especially when it’s quite cold and you mightn’t want to make it to town. There is a well equipped gym, which is privately owned and you often have it to yourself. The home has everything you could need and is in a convenient location if you plan to trip to the ski resort.

Well appointed 1 bedroom suite. Must be able to manage stairs and gravel driveway. Not in the nicest area, more industrial. Suite is in need of renovation, particularly the tub/shower. Nice to have access to washer and dryer and full kitchen. Bed is comfortable. Air conditioning only in bedroom and kitchen. Very responsive operator.

Great for families

This was just what our family of 5 needed after visiting the Banff area. Kids had space to play, the place was clean and had everything we needed.

Great stay

We had a great 1 night stay here and loved the location and how quiet it was! Everything was comfortable. If we were staying longer, we would have brought our own bottled water since the tap water was not great for drinking.

Nice stay.

A very nice stay. Clean and comfortable. We would stay again. Good place if you have a child with you. Don’t use Google maps to find the way, it wants to send you on non existent streets.

Excellent accommodations

I have stayed for eight nights in July 2014. Everything was the way it had been described on the web-site. I could connect my laptop computer to the internet, and I could use Skype all the time (24/7). The apartment is clean, spacious, quiet, and well designed. I received clean sheets (for the bed) and towels. The bathroom has a shower, sink, toilet, washer and dryer. There is a kitchen and everything worked as expected. There are many TV channels. The owner has been very helpful to make my vacation a very pleasant experience. The location is really wonderful. Next time I come to the Four National Parks (Kootenay/Banff/Jasper/Yoho) I will try again this apartment again.

Smell of water very horrible

The inside of the apartment is very spacious and confy, but the emplacement is strange, and, unfortunately, the smell of the water was so horrible (shower, but the entire apartment was smelling rotten eggs after) that I could not recommand this place. And there is a warning sign that said drinking water is at our own risk. There is a spa, but the emplacement is very bad. :(

Pros and Cons

This suite is very nicely furnished, comfortable bed, lots of nice soft towels. I didn't look through them, but there seemed to be a variety of books, games, movies, etc. Unfortunately, didn't get to try the hot tub - not required when the temps were over 30 degrees! :) The location was ok. It's kind of an industrial area, but it was surprisingly quiet. It is a short drive to James Chabot beach. During our morning sleep-in, could occasionally hear the clanging of weights from the gym that is on the main floor (owners live in front half of the house; back half has been converted into a public fitness center on the main floor, and the rental suite on the second floor), but the gym was closed at a reasonable hour in the evening. There is no balcony, only a small landing at the top of the stairs, with a BBQ. The biggest disappointment was the lack of air conditioning. In the hot summer months, the one unit in the bedroom window was not sufficient. If we kept the bedroom door closed, and spent all our time in the bedroom, it was cool enough. But we tried to leave the bedroom door open to cool off the rest of the apartment, and it didn't work. Far too hot to spend any time in the living room or kitchen, so we ended up eating out for all our meals, and bringing home the food we'd brought with us. Overall it is nicely set up inside, and would be a comfortable place to stay in the cooler seasons. It seemed to be a great place for families with young children.

Kids LOVE it here!

We have stayed here twice and both times everything was clean, quiet and comfortable. This accommodation has good value for our family comparably to what else is available with all of the sports equipment, hot tub, kitchenette, washer/dryer etc. Thank you again!

Water smells like rotten eggs!!! Pictures on VRBO are deceptive and misleading.

We had a horrible stay at this place due to the fact that the water smelled like rotten eggs every time we ran the shower or faucet! Our little girl cried every time we ran the bath water because the smell was so strong that we started showering our kids at the Radium Hot Springs instead. There is even a notice above the kitchen sink saying the water is “well water….use at your own risk”. We had to buy bottled water to drink which wasn’t an expense we were anticipating since the VRBO ad doesn’t state this. The advertisement also states no pets are allowed but there is a cat on the premises. My husband is allergic to cats so his allergies acted up every time we were at the condo so clearly the cat has been in the condo. We even had someone knock on our door at one point and ask if the cat was in the condo. The pictures in the ad are also very deceiving. The place is a junk yard and there are many cars and machine parts on the premises which is not what the pictures on VRBO show. My husband also went to use the gym and the gym was closed. He said the gym didn’t even have a floor. The pictures on VRBO show a new clean gym but the reality is entirely different.

Good spot to relax

The unit was a great spot to sleep, and relax, however very outdated and a bit confusing when we went to check in. /the host was nice when we met him, and it was very quiet. No complaints, just surprised regarding the space that surrounds it, and the sawmill behind the property. That being said, the photos are exactly what is it, and it is fully equipped with old school VHS tapes & a sega genisis. If you need music, bring your own speaker as we found most plug ins only fit an iphone 4. All in all, we enjoyed the space, the hot tub was exactly what we needed, it was private and the bed was very comfortable. 9/10 recommendation for anyone.

Beautiful bc

It was nice just it was listed as having a sandbox to playing as well as a play area. We were there for only 2 nights but was only able to use play area for 1 night, the night we were out .

Fun and relaxing stay

This property has it all, beach volleyball, basketball, hot tub, air hockey and a great selection of VHS movies! My kids would’ve had a blast, had I brought them :). Recommend it.
