This home was perfect for our needs. 5 adults visiting a sick family member. We were comfortable and the house was well furnished and supplied. The host was immediately responsive when we asked a question. It was exactly what we needed and we'll gladly return.
This was a great place for our family of 4 to stay for four nights while in Olympia to visit my brother. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood, with a couple of great casual restaurants and a donut shop within a few minutes walk.
My brothers and I (ages 60, 64 and 69) stayed here for 5 nights while visiting a relative in the hospital. The location was fantastic. Within walking distance to the hospital, several eateries and an awesome grocery store. It was very quiet with a huge kitchen and very comfortable living room. 3 big bedrooms with comfortable beds! Had everything we needed for a great stay.
We stayed here for our granddaughter's wedding. I'm handicapped and use a walker, so this place was great for me. Only one step up from the front and an easy 9 steps in the back. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed. The host left a starter pack of coffee and there was various teas in the cupboard. The beds were comfortable. The only strange thing was the size of the master bedroom ( small) in comparison with the large room with the king bed that had a shared bathroom. But it was just my husband and I so it wasn't an issue. We liked the property very much. It also had two nice decks. One covered.
First experience renting a home. It was great. Very clean house, great location, and the host is very responsive. overall 10 out of 10. And we are excited to rebook with this host/house
We were in town for a Bridge tournament and the location of this home was perfect! The house itself is old and dated, but it was clean. The beds were very comfortable and we particularly appreciated the fact that extra linens, blankets, etc. were available if we needed them. A couple of small(ish) things that could make it better is getting rid of single-use toiletries (e.g. shampoo, soap, etc.) and having more than 4 dining chairs. For the size of the house, having 6 (or more) dining chairs seems appropriate. Overall, a good experience and we'd consider staying again.
Upon arrival, we noticed a smell. It improved a little when we opened the windows, but the smell was still there. Some in our party had to sleep with windows open, and it was a cold night, so not very restful. When we awoke, I noticed the thermostat had the following readings: Air Quality Poor - Volatile organic compounds High / Carbon Dioxide High. We opened all the windows, and the air quality improved to Fair. We all had symptoms - scratchy throats and congestion. We left the property and booked a hotel for the night. The total cost of the trip increased for us because we could no longer cook our meals and had to pay for a hotel at the last minute. The owner provided a partial refund. He said the problem was a faulty thermostat, according to his HVAC person, but this doesn't explain the smell and experience we had from breathing the air. Vrbo customer service said it was up to the owners to determine the refund, even with evidence of poor air quality. Disappointed with the owner's and Vrbo's response.
Excellent 3 bedroom, 2 bath duplex that is close to capital and restaurants and other businesses, but in a quiet neighborhood. Easy entry and exit. You unload in front, then park in alley in back. Excellent sitting area, kitchen, shower and sauna!
