Step into this fantastic pet friendly Anna Maria Island vacation home, only two blocks to turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico and one block to the bay!
This house is pet friendly with the huge front porch completely secure and a completely fenced in back yard as well.
This five-bedroom, three-bathroom LARGE home is a memory maker for sure! Sleep the entire family, a few couples, or a group of friends for the perfect beach get-away!
There is a plethora of outdoor living space, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There is a huge front porch with a table to dine, play cards, or just enjoy the bay breeze as it finds its way through the peaceful palms in the front yard. There is a balcony off the master bedroom (we highly suggest (weather permitting) having those doors wide open! And if you get a chance, grab a cup of coffee and make it back to the porch for sunrise! The back balcony joins the two back bedrooms. Curl up with a book, gaze at the stars, the perfect place to unwind before bedtime.
The back patio is a completely private tropical oasis! Mature Florida landscaping and a fence creates a barrier from neighbors and makes this back yard perfect for your four-legged visitors as well!
The kitchen has most everything you would possibly need to prepare meals while on vacation!
Enjoy soft buttery leather furniture in the living room, perfect for a snooze or to cuddle up and watch a movie!
There are FIVE bedrooms with the following sleeping arrangements:
Upstairs Master: King bed, master bathroom with walk in shower
Upstairs Guest Room 1 - Two twin beds (one trundle for special sleep overs!)
Upstairs Guest Room 2 - Daybed with trundle (sleeps 2)
Upstairs Bathroom - Tub / shower
Downstairs Guest Room 3 - Queen bedroom
Downstairs Guest Room 4 - Bunk Beds (both are full size!)
Downstairs Bathroom - Tub / Shower
There are plenty of linens, towels, and other fun beach accessories that past guests have left!
We hope you choose to start your family / friend traditions at the Pirates Nest! It's a lovely home on a beautiful island; it's everything you've been dreaming of!

A pet fee of $100 + tax will be applied after reservation has been made. No animals other than (2) two dogs allowed. Please check with us prior to booking for dog approval. No pets allowed on beds & furniture.

Please note: there is a paddleboard located at the property, however, it for homeowner use only.

Great place to stay

We had a great time during our stay. The location was very good and close to the beach. We had a large group with room for everyone. We had lots of cookout in the backyard, the grill was perfect.

Ideal location, older house with minor issues. Enough bedrooms and bathrooms with private outdoor spaces as well, We’ll stocked kitchen for eating in. Though we did not cook. It met our needs for this family reunion. Accommodating 6 adults nicely. Thank you!

Excellent Choice

The Pirates Nest was an excellent choice for my family! We had our children and grandchildren all in one place. 10 people and nobody had to sleep on a couch. The listing is accurate, there were no bad surprises. Family living nearby were impressed as well. The management company, Island Dreams Realty was very responsive and not intrusive. We only had one problem, a missing trash can, which was resolved immediately. Thanks Tamela!! The house is newly restored, but kept the old Florida charm that I have known and has kept me coming back over the last 50 years. This was our first time staying on Anna Maria Island. We’ve mostly vacationed on Sanibel or Captiva which, in my opinion, have gone with that Disney style resort and forgotten about what made them special. Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria Island have, thus far, maintained that special something that is great for young and old couples and families.

Perfect for our group!

Our first visit to Anna Maria Island. The floor plan and location were just right. Easy walk (3 blocks) to a beautiful beach or the free trolley, even closer to a small park with playground and basketball court on the intercostal side. Several options to gather or spend time alone with seating outside on 3 separate decks plus the patio. Beach wagon, folding chairs and sand toys were appreciated. We spent most of our time walking the beach, exploring the island, shops and restaurants. The free trolley was a nice way to see other parts of AMI without having to park. The Ugly Grouper was our favorite but get there early. Nice landscaping and palm trees helped property feel more private. Perfect relaxing vacation base for our family.

Family reunion

We loved the layout of the house as there was lots of room for all 9 of us to both sleep, eat and play. The beach towels and chairs were a bonus and the little ones were excited about the sand toys they found. The front porch quickly became our favourite hang out after a day at the beach. I would suggest replacing most of the pillows and mattresses as some are badly stained. Of course I did not notice the disturbing sight until we stripped the beds as instructed on our last day. The sheets and bed spreads are fine. We loved the proximity to the beach and the privacy of the yard. The back yard could use some TLC. The front of the property is charming and cozy.

Needs Attention!!

Great house but disappointed with a few things that should be standard. Most of the bed linens were old and worn with stains on them, master bedroom bedding was dingy, didn’t smell clean, pillow sham held together with safety pins. Also no shower curtain in master bathroom. Living room throw pillows were dingy and had rips in them, towels/washcloths were also old and worn and had rips in them. Downstairs bathroom made horrible noises after flushing, not sure what was going on there. The house was very comfortable, landscape was gorgeous but a little investment should be made newer linens, etc would really enhance the experience.

We loved the location and the house was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked ok, but the coffee pot took forever. It might be time to upgrade blankets/quilts and small kitchen appliances though.

Great location for family time!

We had a great experience! Our family of 9 (including one young child) stayed in the Pirates Nest. It was a clean, spacious property right within walking distance to the beach. We made so many memories, can’t wait to go back!

Awesome Hideaway!

Totally enjoyed our stay and all of the house amenities. Very clean, comfortable and lots of extras we did not expect like a really nice welcome bag. The staff was amazing to work with and even met us at the house with a very minor wifi issue. The gentleman, without us asking, made a courtesy call to one of the local Publix to confirm they carried distilled water. Talk about going above and beyond, very much appreciated.

Good

It was okay. They charge us a cleaning fee, but we had to wash all the towels that we used. I didn’t make sense for us! Also, there were rats around the garden and the AC wasn’t working correctly it was to hot.

Great Location-Spacious Home

Our stay here was great! There was plenty of room for two families. We used the back patio a lot! We had a few small issues with the coffee pot, disposal, and cooking utensils but the rental company addressed our needs/concerns immediately. If I had a critique, it would be the knives and pots/pans. The knives were not very sharp and we could have used more and/or larger cookware. Thanks for a great stay!

Great for a big family!
