We enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and stocked with our cooking needs. The bay view was calming and was much cooler with a cool breeze coming over the bay while sitting on rocking chairs on the porch, while enjoying the sunset. The location was easy access to nearby state parks, aquarium and beaches. My family would recommend this location.

Beautiful view / unsatisfied with service
Basically a very nice view and we had a nice stay but afterwards we were told that the cleaning lady said we had pets and that pet dishes and pet hair was found in the bedroom. We had no pets which tells me our room was not cleaned. Also wet sheets were left in the dryer and towels on floor in laundry room. Trash still on the back area in cans. They requested a 25 pet fee and she did take it back off but in a manor that I was being untruthful about the animals. I did enjoy my time there but will not return because of the service afterwards.

Dear Sheila,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We’re glad you enjoyed the view and appreciated the location, but we take your concerns very seriously.
Regarding the pet fee, our cleaning staff reported signs of a pet in the bedroom, which is why the fee was initially requested. I understand this caused frustration, and I sincerely apologize if you felt accused—we never intended to make you feel uncomfortable. The fee was reversed as a gesture of goodwill.
As for the cleaning concerns, I will be addressing this directly with our cleaning team. Wet laundry and leftover trash are not acceptable, and we’ll be taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again in the future.
We do appreciate your stay and your honest review—it helps us improve. I’m sorry we won’t have the chance to host you again, but I wish you the best on your future travels.
Warm Regards

Property was clean, with the exception of the pans, which I had to scrub before using.I was not provided with the proper door code, so getting into the property involved contacting the host and waiting for a call back. The refrigerator was turned off when we got there. No info on how to turn it on. It took a long time to come up to temperature..Ad states there is a washer and dryer on site. Washer was broken. Informed host on Tuesday. Was told it would be fixed on Wednesday. Still broken when we left on Saturday. Received no further updates from host after initial message that it would be looked at on Wednesday. Beds and futons in living room were very hard and uncomfortable.Property has long dock to fish off. Caught a lot of fish, but none good for eating or big enough to keep.Overall it was a nice place, just a lot of little aggravating problems.

Thank you, Lyndel, for taking the time to provide your feedback. I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your stay.I am sorry for the confusion regarding the door code and the refrigerator setup. I have spoken with my co-host and will be working with her to ensure guest communications and follow-up updates are handled more consistently in the future.
I also apologize for the inconvenience caused by the washer. Once we were notified of the issue, a service call was placed immediately. Unfortunately, the repair required replacement parts, and the service company was unable to complete the repair before the end of your stay. I understand how frustrating that must have been, and I regret the inconvenience.I appreciate you bringing the futons to my attention. Based on your feedback, I am replacing them with a new queen-size sleeper sofa to provide a more comfortable experience for future guests.Regarding the fishing, I'm sorry your experience was not what you had hoped. We were surprised to hear this, as many of our guests have enjoyed excellent fishing from the dock over the years. Fishing conditions can vary from day to day, but we're glad you were able to spend some time on the water during your stay.Thank you again for your comments. Guest feedback helps us improve, and we have already begun making changes based on your suggestions. We would welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future so you can experience the improvements firsthand.
